  • I've gotten through almost all of the Dark Tower, books 11-13? Of WoT, stormlight archive book 1, all of Foundation?, All of Asoiaf, On audiobooks. I'd recommend them all as they each have great orators with unique voices for characters.

I used to work lawn care and it was perfect to basically read for 9 hours every day while getting paid.

These days it's way more desk work and unless I'm doing specific tasks which are rote, it's harder to do.

They have their place, but you'll read way faster than you'll listen.

Most books are in the 36-48 hours of listening range. Meanwhile I could bang out a book regular in about 24 pending distractions. I used to read a lot faster but found I was brimming a lot of content.

  • Rose needs glasses.

  • "This is flies."

    • You Mean You're Not a Clumsy Soldier Femboy Twink? I can believe I was in love with a chick.
  • Just Republicans being themselves on the internet lmfao.

  • The difference being legal and highly regulated with correct avenues to acquire it.

Not from my cousin mixing too much of it in with his stepped on heroin. That way Becky and Nate don't end up OD'ing because the person cutting it didn't bother to use a mixing machine, they hit a hot spot, now she wakes up next to her dead friend 3 hours later.

Drugs are great. Drugs are even better when you get exactly what you purchase.

This wasn't some dude with 1,000 fent patches stolen from a hospital lmfao.

Don't fuck around with alcohol, meth, or opiates people.

  • ... I'm good with cops taking fentanyl off the streets thanks lol.

Reminder that Narcan is now available over the counter. If you have insurance they'll normally cover it for free. Most counties have free doses you can get somewhere.

  • Yeah racing sims is what brought this question to my mind. My workplace has a racing sim area which has the actuating seat and multiple monitor setup and by god thinking about it in a modern mech game just made me giggle at the thought.

  • So multiple people have mentioned mod support but I've never seen it myself in numerous low graphic and high graphic quality games. It looks like resolution is less a matter and more no want for it. 99% of games have no NEED for anything I said.

Immersion is supreme for so many whales though. Not only that, but people with 3060 series graphics cards or equivalent make up like 15% (did I math right from the toilet?) of Steams userbase. https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/videocard/?sort=name

I'm just surprised mech games, which are designed by their nature to be futuristic and have LOTS of HUD elements, wouldn't make use of multiple screens to declutter and immerse better. RTS games would also be great candidates for this QoL feature.

The argument requiring 4k resolution is moot too when you consider only 1-2 screens need it. A minimap and info screen can be rendered in near shitter quality.

It just seems like a case of where creating a game that uses multiple monitors in different resolutions seems like one of those weird programming hiccups that throws shit off or takes up too many resources. Otherwise I feel like making use of another screen for a HUD would be relatively easy. I'm no programmer though, hence the question. There's also balancing complaints where people who can afford multiple monitors have easier to see from peripheral maps, cooldowns, stats, etc.

As for money on controllers, gtfo lol. That's clearly not in the spirit of my question. I just kinda expected FromSoft after making billions to put in some neat odds and ends features into Armored Core which is also near and dear to their hearts.

I was immediately disappointed when there was no cockpit view but hey, it's Armored Core, not MechWarrior.

  • ... hence the grand jury... What aren't people getting about how this isn't ACTIVELY what's happening?

And like before, it deals with juveniles, so all data is locked up tight. It's a whole different world of legality in numerous ways.

  • For those wondering, I think Brandcleic acids are supposed to be a DNA/RNA reference.

He's melting because his DNA is bad from combining stuff, which made him melt... K.

  • Look, hit me with the pedantic semantic hammer as much as you want. I've linked plenty of proof above likening it to both definitions lol.

It's a legal pyramid scheme, ponzi scheme, whatever, when people at the bottom who put in can go literally bankrupt, while the people at the top reap 95% or more of the benefit while being COMPLETELY INSULATED from loss due to bailouts, other rich folk insuring losses, and 'bankruptcy' for corporations while C Suite execs still walk away with millions as long as it was a 'good Faith's' investment.

Tried to fuck the rich out of their money though? They shut down trade sites, send you to jail for insider trading, meanwhile all they have to do is time their sellout on stocks a whopping 3-6 months in advance before they liquidate their company to get a max payout. All while they buy our politicians who have the LEGAL ability to inside trade...

That is a scheme where people at the bottom get fleeced for their money. Millions getting fucked by it with so many getting squalid benefits for essentially investing 1/4 their income for literally half their lives, only for the rich at the top to still make out with bank.

It's a pyramid scheme. You can narrowly define what counts as a ponzi scheme as much as you want to try to avoid it, but it's the truth.

It's a legal ponzi scheme. As I've linked to with a multitude of sources making these direct comparisons with plenty of proof beyond concept.

  • The only people privy to that info are parents, medical staff, and investigators (+ grandy jury).

If the reporters want to know info and the parents or guardians aren't telling them, then they're SoL.

Which is EXACTLY how this should be.

  • Imma go with the much more uninteresting and common suicide.

Gag laws regarding juveniles are there for a reason.
