Lmfao too bad we can't fast-track Georgian NATO membership. Maybe they'll get some shiny American toys to play with, if Russia keeps acting a damn fool.
Every year, there are fewer and fewer pieces of shit. 20 years ago, maybe even 10, no one would even know about this. Times are changing, and although it is true that a huge proportion of people are the literal worst, it IS getting better. Maybe in a few more generations things like this will be a thing of the past. Fortunately these particular scumbags are being held accountable.
Job was the first paper I ever bought. I was like 15 and me and my friends rolled up some sage mixed with Captain Black pipe tobacco. I smoked those for years in alleys behind punk shows, getting in trouble with the local constabulary. Good memories π₯²
I don't actually know much about day to day life in Vietnam, are their poverty numbers especially low? I'd love to do more research on that.
I think my biggest problem with central economic planning is it seems to take away a lot of perspective, where the people doing the planning might not have a super great understanding of what the people might need on the other side of the country. Does that make sense?
I'm a union autoworker when I'm not weed farming, I actually got quoted a few times by the WSWS in their coverage of my factory's strike which was a really cool experience. I consider myself a socialist, even. I just think demand driven economics makes more sense to me. I'd love to get persuaded though.
I recognize that, and maybe I'm just desensitized to it, but I live next to a road with a 30 mph speed limit and people blow by at 45 or 50 all day. Maybe the Australians are more desensitized to drunk driving than me, but I still think the bigger problem was her being wasted rather than speeding.
78 kph/48 mph isn't that fast honestly, I think the biggest problem was that she was fucking wasted. If you can't keep your shit together at 50 miles an hour you probably shouldn't be driving.
