  • So insane that this needs to be a mod. The UI map is disappointing enough, but to not even have an in-universe map for visitors is just bad city design. I still have barely any idea where anything is in new Atlantis. Neon is easy enough since it's just a single street, which is disappointing in it's own right

  • I had this exact thought/memory earlier today when I saw something about them nerfing planet environments. I don't even know how they'd do it in starfield since the terrain is barren so there isn't even cover to go to. So it pretty much would have just been "no, you can't go to this planet".

  • I feel like new Atlantis is hard to get a grasp on is that 1) it makes you fast travel immediately on arrival for the story and therefore lose the sense of place and your mental map, and 2) they never give you an overview or overlook with landmarks so that you can see where things are in relation to each other.

    The first impression is getting on the train and then jetpacking through a bunch of bushes to the lodge.

  • I'll throw down the factorio card for this week. Trying it out on the steam deck. Plays pretty good so far. Bit clunky in the controls, but I'll keep messing around with them. Plus it's great for the pick up and play, although I'll prob need to leave notes or something when things get more complex so I don't lose the thread

  • I loved vermintide, but this was the issue with it. Hard to convince people to play when they have to grind for hours to have their character be competent even if the player is super experienced. L4D2 for sure the GOAT

  • Yeah, your mass 99999 is why you have a ton of money. I don't begrudge anyone playing the way they want to play, but don't act like that's not a significant 'cheat'. Again, more power to ya

  • Yeah, what a silly sequence they force. And then you think you have the design down but just change a hab type and the doors and ladders all move, like wtf!

  • Don't the deathclaws scale a bit too? Or does NV break the typical Bethesda scaling stuff?

    I feel like things should scale with the player but not on a smooth scale like is typical. Like, don't give bandits daedric weapons just because I'm X level, give it to them because some crazy portal event happened that made them easier for the bandits to acquire. Make the scaling part of the story

  • I've actually met and somewhat know this guy. All his one-on-one discussions are loud af and he's the kind of guy that blurts out comments during presentations, to the point where it became a bit of a joke to those around. Seems like a decent guy for what it's worth though
