  • she had long running arguments with most of her neighbors and the person killed was not in “greater argument” than the many kids and adults who were verbally abused over years.

This is my mini hill I am standing on today: AP press normalized a neighborhood terror.

  • While many Americans will suffer from this new administration, I don’t think it changes the situation in the places I was talking about.

Democrats have a long history of sounding civilized and proper while the death counts do not decrease overseas. And genocide is genocide, it’s really hard to top that even if the new people are worse.

While we enter a new age of destructive actions inside the USA itself, it will be tempting to many to talk up the earlier government. Glorify it even. Make it seem more than it was, which was shitty and murderous to many

  • Food deserts do exist in many places, but majority of people in my area need vehicle access to get any groceries, or work. One usually does not walk down to the local dollar general.

And with vehicles come access to real grocery stores

  • I think this guy will kill a lot of people, over decades, because what he tears down is not so easily built up again.

He is about to hollow out institutional knowledge, literally wreck physical systems, and disrupt distribution networks and supply chains.

It may even be that many replacements over the next decades might not be government run, but private enterprises trying to maximize profits

  • At this point it is more like gaslighting than anything serious. And the USA mainstream press, and a big chunk of the press in the EU eats it up, again and again.

A quick look at any Arabic based press quickly restores a sense of reality. As different in perspective as night and day

  • It took me years to understand everything I heard or learned about the USA was propaganda, wishful thinking, misdirection, folk lore etc. And even longer to notice nobody understands how it works now.

  • Its ok for some people to feel not as excited as others about the potential for the democratic party. And its ok to share the blame, God knows there is enough to go around

  • I think this exposes the sadism of philosophy the past few hundred years.

Often, it’s been some rich idle folks making up murderous fantasies in their heads while looking down at my ancestors . “Oh, you don’t know page 273 of Aristotle’s rejoinder? Haha, you must be too poor”.

  • Yep, all in. I feel there should be freedom of movement. I am in the minority perhaps. Most people want “reasonable restrictions”. In my experience this always raised my grocery prices and reduced my friends.

I think most people really don’t care one way or the other. Some people want all them far away, but here in Texas this is normally older anglos who yearn for yesterday and are scared about Spanish. But even most of those don’t have too strong feelings about it

Like trans rights, these are all blown out of proportion on national tv and newspapers. Most people really don’t care here

  • It’s not that fine a line though, one can get on the wrong side in so many different ways. Today pro genocide stuff is mixed up in many messages that can otherwise be wholesome.

For example: the daily pictures on masterdon about Holocaust victims. Good , yes. Where are the daily Palestinian images ? Once one starts asking questions, one can easily start to accidentally stray off the path of the righteous and get into morally ambiguous muck.

That’s one problem with widely supported crimes, it’s not just the evil people who passively support bad things. When there is an undercurrent of pro genocide, many babies get thrown out with many bathwaters. And that is bad.

It makes it worse when there are more zionist Christians than Zionist Jews in the USA, and to see that minority of Jews in the USA unite in crime with people who do not like them is heart attack inducing .

The whole thing is a mess and maybe the only way to fight it is redefining boundaries

  • Yes, that too, but the way it was explained to me is that high blood pressure, diabetes and easy to diagnose diseases which make up the majority. All solved by regular checkups

  • In East Texas the further one is away from Houston the less their life expectancy. We all eat the same stuff, I think. The difference maxes out to 5 years average less per person, near Louisiana, but if you look at the actuary stats it’s a straight line correlation between medical center distance and how long we live, on average

This honestly is repeated for many states in the USA. The metro areas have same life expectancies as Europe and Japan, but it’s balanced out by rural lack of access and fewer preventative cares.
