Hey, relax. You don't need to disband your community either.
It is not winner takes it all. It is just about these 1000 people in this community wantig to keep it alive or not.
Your community is unique as it is related to your website. Also crossposting should benefit both of the communities well enough. There is no need to vanish and/or merge at any cost.
Hi, I'm the wrong person to ask. I got MOD by accident and am willing to give this community a new spin. There are some few people who are against two communities. But to be clear, I'm in favor for this community to stay and am on your page.
There is no such thing as an official community for this movement, if you want to call it that way.
Well having a team of mods, maybe some coming from feddit.org, would circumvent the need of everybody being on your instance.
I wouldn't want to setup an additional matrix account for moderation and I don't want to sahre my personal one :-)
Currently I'm waiting to get into !main@feddit.org . I need to ask if there are any rules, hindering me doing mod.
Bascially I need to know if I should move my account to your instance.
Wäre kein Problem, aber halt auch irgendwie schräg :-)
I would have waited for about one day and planned next steps.
It'll be along the line that people should kind of vote on the /c/buyFromEU and /c/buyeuropean matter. We need to know where we are heading. If this community should persist, I would search for a team of moderators and put up a preliminary post with rules. Something including to be nice and excellent to each other.
Then feel free to contact server admins after lets say... 14 days of mods inactivity. The account is quite new, and fresh community creators tend to be over ambitious before realizing what moderation means (I inherited a stale community 😂).
