Looking at a list of senators by age really drives home how bad the US gerontocracy is. Like, Elizabeth Warren is one year younger than Brezhnev was at the time of his death, and she doesn't even register as being super old (at least to me), because the standard for "super old" has been distorted by actual fossils.

If Brezhnev was a present-day US senator at the time of his death, there would be 11 senators older than him, and that's honestly still pretty bad. Like if you're, idk, 70, it's probably time to pass the torch.

It's wild watching polls turn against Ukraine exactly as we all knew was going to happen from the start. Just have make sure a bunch of people die first before we can start talking peace.

I generally hate anything with a personalized algorithm and avoid them like the plague, so maybe I've screwed it up. There's nothing in my likes but I might be interacting with the wrong stuff. I'm just gonna start automatically disliking everything with Musk or Trump's face, I guess.

I've been doing that, but I've also been clicking on stories to translate them first so I might have been giving the algorithm mixed signals. I also want to be able to discuss politics, and it's hard to avoid.
