My new fursona, Sola, a punk kitty inspired by 1970s punk culture! Carrying a deep-seated hatred for all authority, they show up wherever there is chaos, whether it be in the depths of a mosh pit or on a riot-ravaged city street. When they're not stirring up shit, however, Sola is very soft-spoken and gentle and always does the dishes for their roommates. Source Commissions
Wei is among a small number of surviving members of the Nimarrans, an alien species which at one point in the distant past ruled the entire Sagittarius arm of the Milky Way galaxy. After his civilization was wiped out in a failed attempt to achieve collective godhood, he was left for dead in a cryo-stasis escape pod and drifted through space for countless millennia before being recovered and thawed by a group of human space explorers.
MPD + Cantata
For the most part I just lump all my music into one playlist regardless of album or genre, but day to day I also use several different computers, and I find MPD to be the best for syncing configurations across all of them. Cantata also allows me to see album artwork and track information really easily and has good touchscreen support compared to terminal-based MPD clients.
Still rocking a salvaged IBM X61 here! Got me through high school and it’s getting me through college. Makes an excellent no-distractions writing machine, sometimes I also use it as a second display for reference images when I’m doing art
It means “tail” in Chinese, which apparently is also pronounced “wei,” so I thought it’d be fitting
Thanks! He moved overseas after the dynasty got overthrown, and has played for a few underground punk bands and worked in several family-run ethnic restaurants. He also runs a blog that, like, maybe three people read. So basically he’s me but cooler haha
Draconids have long lifespans. Wei and his brethren once served the Heavenly Emperor's court, but those days of fine tea and polished jade now remain only in history textbooks. Since then, he has found no new master but himself... Source Personal Website
Looks so cozy!
Thanks! I didn’t think to use google lens, but after a quick search there I got the same results as you—Raketa Perpetual Calendar. Seems like I found myself an unusual model.
I got this watch from a flea market in Beijing over the summer. It’s a Russian/Soviet wind-up mechanical model likely from the 90s, as the watch face says “50 victory years” and the outer year/day of week dial goes from 1992-2012. The back cover has “950” in small etched numbers while the inside parts are etched with “2628” as well as “SU.” However, I have not been able to find any images or information for this model of watch on the internet. Could anyone help me identify what exactly it is?
It’s actually just a regular full-length novel but with illustrations to supplement various scenes
The habitation section of the station is mostly buried inside the comet, while the rest of it extends into the tail. This way its inhabitants are shielded by rock and ice while its auxiliary sections (solar panels, radiators, docks, etc.) have easy access to open space (but are also hidden from radio telescopes by the comet tail that forms during solar approaches)
The whole thing especially pisses me off because the original video was meant to criticize misogyny
I have some more illustrations and previews for my novel on my website, but otherwise I’m still in the writing stage and not sure where to publish. I did recently set up a Mastodon account on mastodon.art though (there’s a link to it in my profile), so any updates on my projects will probably go there
An illustration for my work-in-progress novel Sailor for the Second Dusk. Depicted is the interior of Alazir Station, a space habitat built into the tail of a comet in the Deltauri system, and the last free nation of the Hyades Cluster. Due to the overwhelming presence of water ice in the rock surrounding Alazir's primary centrifuge drum, excess moisture has seeped inside and given the station a distinctly rainy and miserable climate. Nonetheless, Alazir is a city famed for its lively streets steeped in bright neon, casting gaudy rays to mingle with the colourful fabrics of merchant tents, dappled and wavering in a wet and heavy mist which carries every manner of culinary scent high into the cold air. Absolutely splendid, this is going in my art reference folder
Proud owner of both an iPod classic and an iPod Shuffle! I use both on the daily in order to avoid being on my phone too much.
Ah, brings back memories of the Heaven’s Stairway incident back in May 2021. Fun times
This artwork is gorgeous! All the bright colours make me feel nice and fuzzy. Not sure if making an animated movie for C&H is the best move though, IIRC Bill Watterson didn’t want it adapted
The webcomic is called Red Star Castaway. It takes place in a distant solar system home to a civilization of anthropomorphic humans, who are slowly spreading out from their lush homeworld of Kiratu and settling other planets. This new frontier has become something akin to the Wild West of Earth, full of criminals, rangers, and bounty hunters. The story revolves around humanity’s origins on Kiratu, the remains of an ancient alien civilization, and the misadventures of the crew of the spaceship Oracle.
Here's a digital painting I recently made as a tribute to the game and for my online persona Source Personal Website
A painting of my 'sona, Wanderer, and a tribute to No Man's Sky. I tried using a much brighter and happier palette for the piece instead of my usual moody style, and I think it turned out super well. I'm pretty stoked about this painting. Definitely gonna be using it to show my online identity from now on. Source Personal Website

A painting of a scene from my work-in-progress novel Sailor for the Second Dusk. Three spacer pirates stop to scavenge supplies from what they think is an ancient derelict station, but soon find it was destroyed far more recently than they thought. Among these spacers is the main character, who is still getting used to his suit and manoeuvring pack. Source Personal Website
