It's worse than this even. I have an old Raspberry Pi 3B+ (1G) that I got in 2018. I hooked it up the other day to mess around with it, it's been maybe 2 years since I did anything with it, ever since I got a Pi 4 (4G). 1 gigabyte of RAM is now insufficient to browse the web. The machine freezes when loading any type of interactive site. Web dev is now frameworks piled on frameworks with zero consideration for overhead and it's pure shit. Outrageous.

Diet coke to keep a clean palate and provide a refresher as needed, but when the focus dies down, more meth and coke until I feel like my head is going to literally explode. While this is going on, I'm listening to Babymetal, Electric Callboy and any other party metal that gets my juices really flowing. I am relaxing, but I might clean the house also, sometimes Jesus just calls me. Eventually, it feels like I'm going to actually physically die so I decide the up cycle is over and I need to come nice and down. I take two hits of molly (which will be just fabulous in 20 minutes or so) but in the meantime, I need to take the edge off immediately, so I shoot two (fat) shots of Woodford Reserve Bourbon (typically Distiller's Select, but I'll slum on the basic stuff any day). This is the part where Pink Floyd is queued up. Typically Dark Side of the Moon, but also A Momentary Lapse of Reason, because the tears of Roger Waters fans serve to sustain me in these moments. I might also queue up some Dream Academy just to drive my love of David Gilmour home. The Molly kicks in, and I'll almost always decide it's time for a fruit and cheese board, grapes and brie, mixed nuts, apple slices and a really dry Manchego. Two more shots of Woodford and we're just starting to get comfortable. Heroin is hard(er) to come by - but if I have it, it's time to shoot it up. 10mg in .5ml suspension will be more than enough to complement the Woodford. If not, Fentanyl it is: I spin the wheel of fortune on the Mexican Percocet. Holy shit, I'm really feeling the groove now. This is where my love of 80s pop ballads kicks in. Stalwart standards like Duran Duran, Thompson Twins and Howard Jones pastiched with glam favorites like Poison, Motley Crue and Ozzy Osborne (God rest his soul). At this point I'm beginning to lose my ability to do remain conscious, and a nice glass of Merlot is absolutely necessary. The night must end with Enigma - anything off of Cross of Changes will do. If I remember anything in the morning, then I didn't do it right and I need to start over.
This is what Vegas looked like 6 years ago, when I decided I would never go again, at least not to the strip. Wall-to-wall fucking people on every square inch. You used to get comped things to encourage you to gamble. Those days are past. Now, you can't even park in the hotel garage at the hotel you are staying at without paying extra.
It is so tedious to listen to complaints about the "worst ever" anything when it represents a 4% fluctuation in a trend that has positively RUINED Vegas as a destination due to constant double-digit year-over-year gains.

I don't particularly care for these two items. I used to think user-curation was a good thing, but comparing Lemmy to Reddit, I have to say I no longer feel that way. Voting matters less on Lemmy and I think it's better for it, all things considered.
Nah, everybody knows how to count, that's not secret enough. Plus it's very close to math, which as everyone knows, is just liberal bullshit. No, no, when it comes to numbers, angel numbers are what no one has told you about. You can get secret messages from your dead relatives!
Honestly TBH, they love that kinda shit. Secret societies, handshakes, codes and all that rot. They love knowing things other people don't know (as long as they're like, super easy things. None of that math and science bullshit).
It's awe inspiring to contemplate the evolutionary path that these majestic creatures have followed to end up living their best life in the sky, stunning vistas as far as the eye can see, lounging carelessly and being waited upon by their human manservant.
