I used to love using Mantine in Crystal. That thing was bulky enough to shrug off a thunder. I sadly won't be able to do the trade evos, but Seadra could still be fun. Mantine is also only in Gold and Crystal. This is making me realize how spoiled for choice the games are with water types.

So many shitty movies at that time. It's probably part of the reason I don't care for movies much as an adult.

Pokemon Silver team is working out. Eventually I'll want a water type beyond the Goldeen that's temporarily ferrying me around. My issue is that I've played with Qwilfish and Wooper more times than I can count, and adding Chinchou or Corsola would encourage me to drop Sudowoodo or Flaffy for good measure. Maybe I'll run Gyarados or even give Seaking a shot for the first time.

I kinda warmed up to men over time. It used to be I was only into twinks (definitely shallow of me) and gradually started finding everyone attractive in some way. I was that standard bi that was into all women, and some men. I rock with enbies. They seem to dodge any of my heteronormative hangups. Always have.

But sometimes you just got a type. Other times you just need to approach it from another mindframe.

Damn, if only AD&D's rules were that straightforward.

I showed up for some Palestine agitation. Got the stink-eye from a few people, as you can imagine.

The one in Darkest Dungeon plays a lute. But to overthink things, the flute or a tambor would probably be less annoying to a king should he have one in residency. The fiddle would be overkill, since it was considered a poor-man's instrument until fairly recently and would drown out the King too much.

Hmm, maybe I'll also run Girafarig in my Silver playthrough. I like it well enough, but I think Stantler and Noctowl always filled that sort of not-quite-psychic slot. Maybe I'll swap it in after I get Togetic.

Also a fan of fighting type trainers in the anime, since training Pokemon involves them acting as sparring partners and workout buddies.

I pulled some brutal hours last week, so I've spent the day eating trashy food and playing Cassette Beasts for the bootlegs (shinies) and Pokemon for the team-building.

Honestly, good for you. I've had pretty good luck on shinies, even before I got into shiny-hunting. It's great when others get to experience it. My friend's first random shiny was male Combee.

Update: I finally got one.

In the red and asleep, and I still can't catch this Aipom in this Silver playthrough. I burned through 9 Pokeballs and 3 Greatballs. Fearow may be my favorite Pokemon, but it sucks to go through numerous Spearows just so I can run a bad Pokemon that I think is cute.

Really cool when you can find the ones with the postcards in the back to order books for $3 in the mail.

I pulled some 50-60 hours this week, starting the week on the backfoot and getting slower and less efficient all the while. The OT will be nice, but I had time for maybe one run and hardly any energy or time for my morning stretches.

Still, proud of the work I did, mishaps and all. My body fucking hurts.

They don't make it easy to delete them. It's rather tedious and loads slowly despite Google have more money and resources than several countries combined.
