  • In the US at least, I haven't heard of a provider not allowing you to bring your own hardware. For example, on Comcast, you can bring your own DOCSIS 3.1 modem that isn't as full of software and doesn't allow neighbors to use an Xfinity public network. Comcast even has a page for compatible devices. Save on stupid rental fees.

  • Prime it and then you can purchase "outdoor porch floor paint" that has a bunch of grit in it. I did this for outdoor steps also made of wood and I'm living where we get a lot of snow and ice. It's not perfect, because the grit isn't raised too high, but it's a heck of a lot better than it is without it.

  • Just want to point out that there's no way for you to know there isn't a technical reason they can't achieve something.

I'm running into a lot of that with Shopify. Lots of dumb things they should support that even app devs can't do.

For example, do you want to buy a membership but have a b2b account type? Nope. You as the customer don't even know if you have that.

Another example - do you want to sell someone a membership over the phone? Nope. Must do it on the website only. Seems like something that wouldn't be true, but it is. Tech isn't perfect and can be very expensive to customize.

That said, sounds like you'll be ok based on the comments here 😀

  • 5g of water can be absorbed for every 1g of carbs eaten. So it's dehydration.

People that have tried to "cheat" while on Keto know this pain. It's also why they woosh 10lbs first on that diet. No carbs = shedding water weight.
