  • They're just trying to teach their human to hunt. First step is to demonstrate that the mouse is food. Diva is clearly just getting frustrated with how slow a learner the human is.

  • No solid tiles allow fluids to pass through, with the exception of constructed tiles that are explicitly stated to be permeable.

See the white damage lines across the bottom tiles of that pool of water? Depending on the water pressure (ie amount of water on top of a tile) they will start to take damage based on their hardness (I think that's the stat, it's been a while), and eventually. More tiles makes it more resistant, up to 7(?) deep to never break.

I suspect the water leakage is from tiles about to break, but again it's been a while so I'm not sure. It's also possible you're getting a mess from somewhere else.

  • Unions have strike funds to pay those participating in the strike. It's not the full amount though, and it's not like they're paid enough these days.

If you're near a picket line it's worth bringing some treats to the strikers. The sweet taste of solidarity helps.

  • As a general rule, if you're getting a service for free, you're the product.

I don't know much about the downsides of free in the context of VPNs, as I didn't really get in to the technical ins and outs. But when we're talking security and privacy I think the cost of supporting something good and sustainable is well worth it.

I've heard port forwarding is helpful for speed, and that might be a paid only thing, but to be honest I'm consistently surprised by how fast things go for me just using mullvad.

Another thing you may wish to consider: the Proton CEO has praised Trump which is a huge red flag to me in the privacy space.

  • These resources are really all you need, but they're all individually quite focused so for a new person it can be hard to see the forest.

    An overview:

For movies, streaming sites are fine.

    To start torrenting safely:

    • get a paid vpn (i use mullvad)
    • download qbittorrent or the like
    • find a public tracker from the megathead, general ones are easy/convenient for starting imo
    • virus scan/use common sense/be careful
  • Fwiw PR would be better for moderate conservatives, because a separate centre-right party would be better able to work with the Liberals for stuff they want, whereas as it stands being coopted by the far right they're going to struggle to do anything without a majority. Depending on your MP's leanings you might be able to advocate for support.
