You can rely on someone in a non mono relationship, it's just way more complicated and takes 1000% more time. It's all just choices. But there's plenty of examples of deep relationships that are also non monogamous
Ya everything's just a little more shit now. Goin to restaurants and you're orders fucked, long lines, grocery store looks like a bomb has gone off, cant even fucking afford all the streaming nonsense now. It just goes on and on

I think what makes me the most bummed is that change is not for sure. Do things get bad enough? And if they do, does that mean anything? I've lost a lot of hope in the last couple of years. COVID did a number on everything
man i wish second languages were more of a thing for people in the US
ive struggled learning spanish for a while as an adult and i just wish I had went to an immersion school or something as a youngster. even if it doesnt really matter, i think its just so great. great for your community, great for your brain; besides the time i dont see any downsides to learning another language
