It was fun, wasnât it.
I have been using Memmy (IOS) and itâs so much better than the Reddit app.
I have been using Memmy (TestFlight) since the beginning and love the app. Thanks for the recent updates it has been very stable, especially around image handling!
One thing I canât seem to find anymore is a way to block communities. I swear it used to be there but I canât find it anymore. Is this feature coming back or did something change on the Lemmy side?
I live in the Cape Fear area of North Carolina and we are dealing with this. Chemors, the maker of Teflon, has been dumping PFAS in our water.
My town recently built a reverse osmosis water treatment plant. It is the only way to get it out of the water. Traditional water filters donât work.
Memmy is Apollo like but only available for IOS for now.
The article points out that the strength of the Fediverse is also itâs downside. Federated moderation makes it challenging to consistently moderate CSAM.
We have seen it even here with the challenges of Lemmynsfw. In fact they have taken a stance that CSAM like images with of age models made to look underage is fine as long as there is some dodgy âage verificationâ
The idea is that abusive instances would get defederated, but I think we are going to find that inadequate to keep up without some sort of centralized reporting escalation and ai auto screening.
Guess they shouldn't have trained it on Common Core... /s
I will see myself out.
Reports coming in now that at least one span has collapsed, and that another is damaged.
I also have a friend who is wondering how much a Reddit account sells forâŚ
A few have triedâŚ
Kodak did this a few years but the big printer companies slashed prices in the printers to next to nothing. Kodaks $200 printer with cheap ink, huge cartridges, and no chips didnât sell well when Canon would have a similar printer (scan, print, etc) for $49 next to it. Consumers are dumb.
Brotherâs eco tank is close⌠but if they are killing that off in the name of ink selling greed as this meme suggestsâŚ
I ran into it somewhere and thought it was !dadjoke material based on the pun, no political opinions intended. I grew up on a cattle farm so I know where the cows come from.
I assume it comes from newly federated people browsing All and not realizing this is !dadjokes. Or maybe just people who hate a good pun joke.
Its ok because the shit gets washed off of the hide before it gets turned into the leather for the seats in my new car.
This is !dadjokes, this is a pun joke, no political message about the food you decide to eat or not yet intended.
Just because I have an affinity for White New-Balance Classics doesn't make me a Boomer, OK?
Besides, they go with my outfit no matter what color my cargo shorts or polo is... which happens to be the official uniform of !dadjokes; and that is where you happen to be. This is an amazing punnerific Dad Joke. I know because I tried it on my son and got an audible groan of approval. So, scamper on back to yiffit.net or wherever you came from if that is all you have.
Though if you have a !dadjokes worthy flame, bring it on, I love a good Internet trolling.
While being feral had its own pitfalls, I think most of us ended up with life coping skills they the generations after us seem to be lacking.
How much furry porn existed before Lemmy. I knew it was out there and I know all of the memes about furries, but I always assumed it was a rare subculture that was mostly known about for how strange it is to most people.
I am not gonna kink shame. You do you king (or do I call you lion?) Enjoy whatever your desires donât effect me.
But damn some of you are prolific posters. I usually have my NSFW filter off because I donât mind an occasional boob in feed, but Lemmyâs unfiltered feed has shown a whole lot of furry porn. I canât block the communities fast enough, and every hour there is another one getting filled with an image dump.
Rant over, flame me if you want.
I have been using Memmy on Apple for browsing mobile and it is fantastic. But if I happen to be on my desktop and just browse to lemmy.world the experience is a bit underwhelming. Is there a better way to desktop/browser lemmy? (Do we call looking at lemmy the lemmy?)

You ad an individual no. You as a collective yes. What is good for the collective (society) may be individually good for you.
This is very satisfying to read as someone with ADHD.
I havenât been able to find a good free dump site that is current. I have used exam topics (paid) in the past for Azure exams and they have been pretty good.

Donât question it, just enjoy it. You are now part of the greater Lemmy world. In five years you can break out the âI have been on Lemmy since the bean incidentâ and all the originals will sound off with you while the new lemmings wonât get the inside joke.
You belong now.
I think it started when someone said that Lemmy users would upvote a can of beans.
#knowyourmeme
First GW OC poster to post an image of herself (sorry boys) naked holding a can of beans is going to melt this place down faster than KBins backed up queue.
I was car shopping this weekend and was blown away by the tech features that are available in even moderately priced cars. Adaptive cruise with lane assist, blind spot monitoring, backup cameras, navigation and even reverse automatic breaking. Even base models had quiet smooth rides.
When I bought my last new car 10 years ago, this was only the stuff of luxury brands. So that got me to thinking, what luxury commodities will become affordable in the next 10 years?
Probably not but one can hope⌠to the Fediverse lemmings!
I chose this username a couple of weeks ago so that in five years I will post something random on Lemmy and look back realizing I havenât thought about Reddit in a whileâŚ
I just ran Power Delete Suite on all of my comments and self posts, stating they have been removed in protest.
On July 1st, I am deleting every comment and post, then closing my account. Reddit was fun while it lasted.
The fediverse is still raw, but I see massive protentional here, and I am ready for this journey with all of you.
What is the groups focus? I moved to Resin a couple of years ago and my filament printer is in the closet gather dust... but I might break it out one day.
