It's under warranty so shouldn't cost anything to get fixed but it'll likely be a few weeks before I get it back. On the bright side this gives me a good reason to hop back on the steam deck! Started a Dark Souls 2 soul level 1 run the other day. I've gotten pretty far in them before but never actually completed one iirc
I get the desire to center the folks receiving aid, but if the donors don't feel like there are enough safeguards wont they just stop donating? You can try to convince them or shame them, but that probably isn't going to work, especially when they could very easily find somewhere else to donate that has systems of accountability, demonstrable impact, etc.

The blood test, no, but biopsies and such based on a false positive might, and apparently PSA tests have a pretty bad false positive and false negative rate
