Like a virgin by Madonna. When I was young and we only had radio and tapes in cars, I had five preset stations and I'm not making this up, that song was on all five stations at the same time once.

Grabbing a scanner at the door makes more sense otherwise they would have to be made waterproof since people take and leave their carts outside.

I worked for a company that did a demo using RFID tags. Every item had one and you just walk through a scanner when you're done shopping and it rings everything up instantly.

Every day I watch the news or look at Lemmy or talk to a friend and I hear some horrible new way of creating a distopia I had never considered. It's depressing.

I saw this on Lenny about Jeeps. I asked someone sitting in a new Jeep if she got ads when she came to a stop and she said no. So now I wonder if there is something about the trim level or something. She said it was 1 year old. Maybe this just started.

Thank you for the explanation. It's kind of what I envisioned. I guess it doesn't apply to me mostly since I haven't played a PvP since rage quitting Overwatch a few years ago. Now I just play cooperative games with a buddy in the UK.

Or does it apply to me?

I'm embarrassed to confess, but I also don't wear a life jacket when I swim. Hell, most of the time I prefer to leave the swim suit behind.

Yeah. I guess I always knew at some level, not that I gave it much thought in the past, that there was a chance fascism could take hold in America. But what surprises me is how friggin stupid they are. How can anyone listen to Trump talk for more than 5 minutes without their bullshit alarm going off.

I looked up some stuff and it checks out. It's difficult to mail down exactly how many trans athletes there are but there's a pretty high confidence level there are less than 100.
