  • Do I really have to use "/s " after that comment?

The Trump administration tends to continuously blame Biden for the stupid stuff they do. Guess you didn't know. A reporter even asked when it stopped being Biden's fault and it really pissed them off.

  • For me, it was my hips. I really do think sitting for long periods in front of a computer is really bad for your health. Good luck to you. Get lots of exercise and take as many breaks as you can get away with.

  • I'm already waiting for my interview. But it's more than that. It's having to go through it at all. It's their treatment of people. It's the super spreader event that is an aircraft and an airport. It's the treatment of people by the airlines and the whole schedule thing. It's dealing with other passengers. I live in Florida, yup the crazy one. In the last four flights I've taken it took 20 hours to get home from Canada, 36 hours to get home from Tennessee and 15 hours to get home from Colorado. I mean WTF!

I took a private airplane once and I parked for free at Signature services, walked into a, large mostly empty lobby area with free cookies and got on the plane. When I got back, the crew, and I swear I'm not making it up, actually brought out a red carpet. It was ridiculously short, like 2 feet, with a ridiculously short velvet rope to match it. I walked through the same lobby, grabbed a cookie and hopped in my car and went home. That was it. Friggin fantastic. I do admit this was prior to 9/11. Since I'm not privy to such treatment normally I've never taken another private flight so I don't know how much has changed. But THAT'S the way to travel... unless the OP meant something like a teleporter instead.

Also I'm not sure it's borderline extortion. Feels like flat out extortion, but I see your point.

  • If you are thinking of reading some classics but you think they might not really hold up to your expectations, READ this one. It's absolutely timeless and it's amazing to me how actually scary the story is.

By contrast, skip Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Oh no! Someone is walking in the neighborhood that doesn't appear to be a gentleman! Shocking!

  • Private Jet. Not because I want to live like a billionaire but because I friggin hate going through TSA and lately every time I travel the airlines seem to have little value-add over just driving.

  • Yeah, I would say the same thing about Americans (yes I know you're Americans too. I think we all know I mean the US). If you meet MAGA on the street in a non-political way, they might be super nice. You might have a great interaction. I have traveled around the world and I maintain that food service personnel in the US are the friendliest. I'm guessing many of them are MAGA.

  • Well, regrettably, I live here. I will, also regrettably, be returning from a trip to Europe.

But I didn't really want to lose my text conversations. Very little of it has to do with politics but, you know, there's probably some on there somewhere.

  • Ah, don't be so hard on yourself. I've only had great experiences traveling in Canada and I like to think of Canadians as our brothers. There's good and bad everywhere. I might have had a miserable trip to New Zealand if I had left just an hour later. Who knows.

  • Most "incriminating" stuff (if I even know what that is) ON my android phone is probably text messaging. I use a program called Textra. Any suggestions for that?

The rest would be in the cloud, like comments here or on YouTube videos or wherever Google stores the stuff I say while my phone is near.

IDK, kind of thinking about leaving it at home, but I really want the communication while I'm in airports and I use it for music on airplanes and in hotel showers and stuff.
