Numb.
  • I do understand that those strategies have some effect. I disagree that it means reason is moot, and the more shits that come out of the woodwork with doomerism the more effective it is so I have a question for you. Why are you pushing that narrative as well? What are you doing to change it other than point it out?

  • Numb.
  • I mean, yeah Biden hasn't been great at campaigning this time. He's been significantly better at the actual job, and we don't only elect the person. We elect their cabinet effectively as well and Biden surrounds himself with much more competent staff than Trump who has several staffers up for felonies, nevermind himself.

Am I worried? Just about you assholes who keep forgetting that the president doesn't do everything themselves.

Loads of felonies being led by a convicted felon who has said he would commit more crimes the second in office... vs one guy in the group being "old" despite only being a few years older than his opponent.

I get it, Biden is old. I don't get how that one fact counters every other one from the other side.

  • Heatwave is no joke...
  • I asked what level of work could be done and you said look around at the people who are working in that or hotter weather. Ok, so how many hours of manual labor can be done in 79 degree weather before the body needs rest? In sun vs shade? At 40/60/80% humidity? None of what you said answers any of that beyond what could have been a "Google it yourself".

You spent multiple lines writing something I didn't ask for to be an ass. If you don't know or don't feel like answering, don't answer.

  • Heatwave is no joke...
  • I don't understand the chatgpt bit still. When you say you need more context on the subject matter, you could search for the wiki or a forum and get the same information chatgpt is pulling without the impact.

  • Heatwave is no joke...
  • Surprisingly, I do go outside. In 79 degrees. Where I sweat like crazy and hit dehydration fairly quickly. Which is why I was asking for an actual answer instead of this shit. If you don't want to answer the question, fine but you don't need to be a dick about it.

So again, not an answer to the question I was asking. Kindly fuck off.

  • MMOs 'don't give people the tools to build community anymore,' says EverQuest 2 creative director
  • Honestly, classic wow got me back into it for those same reasons. I can barely play retail for the story, thankfully I already have a large guild of friends I've been playing with for years so we still have a micro community.

  • Heatwave is no joke...
  • I was saying that it's not really confusing.... And then used the thermal blanket analogy to try and give an example.

How do I know this isn't that confusing to the average person? I teach it to high schoolers in environmental systems. They get the hang of it pretty easily if you just give them a decent example with a visual. Unless high schoolers aren't average people anymore....

  • Heatwave is no joke...
  • Cool, that's still not answering the question. What level of work can a body do under standard conditions at 79 F, without overheating? That changes with humidity so at break points of 40, 60, and 80% how does that affect the body? What you think feels nice is not what I was asking.

  • Heatwave is no joke...
  • Not really. CO2 is effectively a thermal blanket. It traps your radiant heat. The environmental heat still affects you, additively.
The only real difference is that people also generate their own heat instead of just storing it. But you could say a thermal blanket on a snake and have the same effect.

  • Heatwave is no joke...
  • Cool, but that's 70 and not 79. Sure it's only a few degrees swing but that still matters. We're also looking at water shortages in a good number of places so counting on that being a ready supply is not necessarily true.

65 is a real nice temperature to survive at too though a little on the cooler side but it's not what we were talking about.
