Proxy wars have their special funding and maybe false motives, but they are hot wars. Real wars.

The Cold War consisted of threats. Piling up weapons, bombs, nukes, and counting and comparing who's got more of them. These threats were made mainly by politicians. Maybe I was wrong in saying they "fought" it.

Na ja, jedenfalls bin ich mir sicher, dass die Frage einen Hintergedanken hatte.

Denn dass beschlagnahmte Sachen hinterher irgendwann zurückgegeben werden, ist ja im Verfahren ganz normal vorgeschrieben und so ein gähnlangweiliges Detail muss ein Richter wohl kaum erwähnen.

I am using one and I found it quite unreliable. Sometimes too sensitive, catches motion that happens far away. Often blind, just ignores the most obvious motion.

Plan on combining it with sensors of other technology to compensate that.

"Hot" is only on the outside.

Treat these people like humans. With normal respect and politeness. Get to know them.

You will find that they have their strengths and their weaknesses etc. and even some details that turn you off.

Reason:

When it was politicians who fought the Cold War, they were few who had actually a say, and these few got some minimum brain, at least.

But in your scenario, it is random jerks who execute that scheme everywhere. There will be some who pull the trigger just for ... all kinds of stupid shit that has triggered them. So you'd have nukes going off somewhere, at least every few days, and then nobody can really rule the world anymore with them. The power of the threat will be gone.

I make another Elon.

And then another on the next day, and then another etc. When I have got a dozen of them, I let them loose on the real one and on each other and watch whatever happens.

Next I make another Trump...

Even the simpler AI models can simulate 'management'.

What we don't have is AI's that simulate your everyday asshole bosses.

What we don't have either is AI's that simulate fair, decent, smart, and empathic bosses.
