Nightmare blunt rotation
Oh it's that easy? I figured it was gonna require some one handed cartwheels or spells at a minimum.
I'll probably do that after work then.
I don't even know how to switch instances tbh.
I'll look into switching later at some point.
I'm not a conservative but I would love to see people with opinions other than comically far left have somewhere to call home.
I joined world because I didn't really know what Lemmy was and I was just "trying it out" after I got banned from all of reddit across all my accounts (they never told me why and instantly denied my appeal).
If a more open minded instance pops up or you create it let me know.
- I didn't Vote for Trump and I am not a Republican.
- I declared none of those things. I simply do not care for "guilty by association" type thinking.
Taking your asinine line of thinking to an extreme shouldn't California all be considered Republicans since they haven't forced all the Republicans (the most of any state) to move out of state yet?
The only rancid thing I've seen around here is the festering pit where your brain should be.
I would say that I out loud laugh at comments here pretty often. Not because they were trying to be funny, but because these people are so unbelievably disconnected from reality that some of the shit they say is just hilarious.
My only other real complaints on Lemmy is the lack of user feedback and the laughable moderation. Often times I'll be banned from a sub without me knowing so it just gives me errors for trying to upvote or leave a comment. Just tell me it's because I'm banned. Giving me an error just makes me wonder if that instance is down or something.
I have been banned from subs I've never even interacted with simply because they saw I had comments with lots of downvotes. That's ridiculous. I have received several bans for rules I haven't broken. I have lost track of how many comments have been deleted by "automod" days after I left the comment. It's clearly just a mod using the automod as a layer of anonymity.
Overall I have had an alright experience with Lemmy. Some users are very kind and helpful. Many of them are elitist snobs that think they are the most intelligent humans put on this planet.
I thought reddit was a left wing echo chamber at times and then I got here. I didn't realize how much worse it could get.
They are gonna have to pry windows 10 from my cold dead hands. I was sold 10 on the premise that it was going to be "the last windows OS I would need".
Fuck you Microsoft.
I mean... Yes his supporters are all Republicans, but not all Republicans are his supporters.
You know how many of y'all voted for Biden and then Kamala even though you didn't really like them? The other side is capable of doing the exact same thing.
I'm currently sitting in a room full of far left people. Doesn't make me far left.
It's almost as though people are individuals or something.
I always remind myself that no matter how badly I bomb most people will forget about it within a few days and maybe tell the story once in a blue moon when they remember.
I find it's better for me mentally if I pretend like the audience doesn't even exist and I'm just playing music or talking with friends or family.
Also if there is a group order always try to go up first. People will always remember stage disasters, but if you go first it's more likely to be overlooked by a gaff someone might make later on.
Lastly remember when you were in the audience and saw someone struggling on stage. Do you think about it all the time? Did you laugh at them or did you feel for them? Remember that most people also struggle with public speaking/performing so there is generally a mutual understanding of nerves from many in the crowd.
Jokes aside I know why they paint things the way they do lol.
The lighter underside and darker topside is consistent in nature as well as our military vehicles for a very obvious reason. Birds almost always have lighter feathers on their belly and darker on top.
Even in the water you will see similar color choices from many creatures. Them fuckers are always trying to avoid being seen.
Just because it's an echo chamber doesn't mean it can't be interesting to be here and converse with people.
I'm just very aware of the echo chamberness.
It's pretty much the same as talking to the far right nutjobs in their spaces. Both groups completely unaware of how completely absurd they are. Both groups think they are 100% right about everything all the time lol.
I appreciate you recommending I leave, but I've been entirely banned from reddit for no given reason and I enjoy this format of content/discussion. So I will still be here attempting to have decent conversations when I can.
Yeah but the enemy will be expecting planes that are painted to look like ground. They should paint them blue to confuse the enemy. Make them think they have lots of plane shaped ponds.
Why use ground colored camo for machine that operates in sky? Silly painters.
Just blatantly incorrect, but I'm not gonna try and convince you otherwise. It would clearly be a waste of my time.
Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi giant space rock, you're my only hope.
The Trump worshippers do not represent "the Republicans". They represent Trump worshippers.
The only two groups I have heard say anything about wanting a "king" have been the brain damaged Trump cult and the far left people that keep (incorrectly) assuming that is how all Republicans and conservatives think as well.
You can see when Snapchat decided the redesign their entire app and then I stopped using it entirely for the rest of my life lol.
USA. Despite what people will tell you around here we aren't crumbling to bits or shooting each other in the streets.
What the federal government does has ultimately very little effect on my day to day life. I go to work. I come home. I get high and pet my cats too much. I play video games with friends I've made over the course of my life. I eat dinner and I crash. I'll repeat this pattern all week and then on weekends I do chores and visit friends/family.
Other than that everything is still functional. Safety hasn't gone up or down. It's still exactly as safe as it was under Obama and Biden eras. Pretty safe as long as you avoid certain places or hanging out with the wrong crowds.
8/10. Room for improved always but I'm not really concerned.
