There's a part of me that thinks these people fell for very well crafted propaganda that kept them away from the voting booth and, like Magats, they keep doubling down instead of admitting they got duped and moving on.

In a binary system where my choices are Nazis or not Nazis, anyone who comes along and tells me not voting is the best option is my fucking enemy.

This one's much simpler than that; one party will throw people I love into a concentration camp in the next four years, one party will not. I will vote for those who will not. The rest is just bullshit.

• create government bureau that figures out how many people a company would need to employ without automation
• tax that company the equivalent of those people's salaries
• fund UBI

Fuck capitalism.

Canada, I make an appointment with my family doctor, usually within a week, free. Specialists are more annoying because our right wing provincial government keeps chipping away at public healthcare and justifying it with its own results, but generally goes pretty quick too.

I've gone back to just texting and switched over to signal for band chats and group stuff, and so far the only person who doesn't like it is a dick bag who claims to be an anarchist but refuses to live his life without using a fascist propaganda machine to socialize.

I have a friend who just moved here from Australia, she's taking French classes and they're teaching her all formal vous shit and I'm like, we don't really do that, I don't even do that with my grandmother.

It's funny we attract a lot of French people on work travel visas and you can see them get twisted up about it when they're new.

This is simple urbanism. Cars don't stop in to see what a new business has to offer, pedestrians do. Pedestrians don't need parking. Good urbanism makes local business boom. They are terrified of it.
