  • Yeah same here but I work at a restaurant. It took me two weeks te remember the name and face of my boss

  • Started using it because I was a nerd, still using it because windows cannot provide anything close to a sway/i3 style of wm.

Also setting up a programming environment is dead easy, just install a package and you can compile your code within 5 minutes of a fresh install.

and also the kernel logs actually make sense and tell me what I need to fix when the system breaks. windows errors are just a goddamn mysterious mess

  • One is my subaru forester with 255,555 miles on it, the other is my Chrysler sebring with 217171 miles, Both are 1999, the Chrysler is gone, but the subaru is still here

  • I attached an image here but it seems to only appear on kbin?

  • Now that I think about it I always own cars with high miles

  • I love this kind of stuff

  • Newer ryzens are better, especially because they get frequent updates to their microcode that fixes a lot of the issues you're experiencing.

  • 2016 ish asus vivobook, the bluetooth module will just randomly start spewing garbage into the USB controller, turning it and whatever is in the left port off. The wifi part of the card works great, restarting doesn't fix it, the duration it does this is random, disconnecting the laptops battery doesn't fix it. The only thing that fixes it is taking the card out and putting it back in place, probably a broke solder joint or something but this laptop is hot garbage so I'll get a new one before trying to take the whole mobo out.

Also my phone the other day shut itself off for 30 minutes, when it turned back on it was stuck on the Motorola Blue and Yellow boot screen for another 15 minutes, until it finally booted and was just fine. Still dont know what that's about.

On my car, a 99 subaru forester, When changing the battery or disconnecting the terminal, the Transmission controller will scream that the fluid is too hot and reaching like over 200 degrees, even though the transmission hasn't been engaged for a month. You have to just keep reconnecting the terminal until it correctly communicates with the ECU and stops freaking.

    Technology is fun.

  • Only a scrub would search something embarrassing and not delete it afterwards, or just use a web browser that deletes it every session

  • Reading those comments was a mistake, I'm actually in shock at how some people are so blindly in love with apple that they have to misconstrue and bastardize everything they read to make apple look like the "good guy". It's a damn antitrust suit, and one the DOJ has been investigating for years, they wouldn't launch it unless they had something to prove

  • Considering it's bleeding edge, it's probably pretty frustrating to do atm, I'd wait a little bit longer for proper HDR support down the software stack

  • if its a qt application then run in a console "QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb program_name", if it's a gtk application i think it's "GDK_BACKEND=x11" though I'm not entirely sure.

I have to do this with LMMS as on sway click and drag doesn't work for some odd reason

  • America moment.

  • Yeah you right. they're just expensive as hell out here and I don't make enough money to guarantee I'd survive if I went to one

  • I'm 22 and everything already hurts all the time, I usually need help with basic house chores at this point cause i need so much time to rest

  • +1 for this, never had an issue with cargo pulling the wrong versions unless the dev fucks up their TOML file or you're using the nightly toolchain

  • And factorio, factorio runs on anything

  • Celeste, Enter the Gungeon, Nuclear Throne, FTL, Minecraft with optimization mods and low draw distance, Guilty gear Xrd. Really, if it's 2D it should be fine. Oh, and Hollow Knight sometimes, it depends on the igpu model if it likes it or not
