  • If you've never checked it out, it's pretty creative. There's lots of tragedy and comedy. It's legitimately well written. I can't recommend the cartoon though. Go manga and live action. The live action catches the feel pretty well. The cartoon is garbage

  • It's actually, can make copies of body parts bloom somewhere else. She can make her ear appear on someone's shoulder to listen in on conversations, or make a net of arms attached to a cliff to catch falling objects, but she NORMALLY just uses it to straight up murder 100s at a time by sprouting her arms on enemies backs and breaking those enemy's necks....

  • Canadians have a reputation for being friendly... We're polite. There's a big difference. There's pockets of friendliness, but it's usually in more rural places and the all pervasive racism is worse there than in the cities. Because it's easier to be polite and racist in a homogeneous community.

  • Seems quaint and wholesome now. Remember when the president was so dopey and we could all laugh at it? Remember when we ignored a genocide in Iraq because the president was dopey? Good times

  • It's the power dynamic. A person in his position is only going to behave like everyone else thinks is OK because of social norms, but at some point those norms don't apply. Just like no one's surprised that Peter thiel is a suspect for his boyfriend's death. Rich person does rich person thing and people are surprised? I just don't get the surprise part. Grohl has probably had ridiculous amount of people throwing themselves at him his entire life, and we're surprised that at some point he's caved in?

  • Any time someone/group gets as big as them speaking the way they do, it makes me wonder if they're doing a bit to corner a market. Capitalism WILL co-opt anything. Maybe they got caught up in it as well?

  • The lead singer, Dennis lyxzen went on to do the international noise conspiracy which had songs like 'capitalism stole my virginity'. Also, this album defined punk music for a decade. There was mainstream punk before and after. Then the guy does the next band which had the same kind of sound as the strokes before the strokes. Occasionally we'll get artists that can see how trends are going and ride those waves. These guys did it twice.

Seriously, check this guy and his projects out. He surrounds himself with people that get it, and he's about as revolutionary as musicians can be.

They wanted inc to be: 'a cross between Elvis Presley and Che Guevara.'
