Yeah, I didn't either until recently. Like I said, they don't like to tell you why Texas seceded from Mexico in school. They just like to tell you how heroic the battle of the Alamo was.
I mean, look, I love Ricky Starks, but he never really made it past the midcard in AEW. Mariah was a headliner for their women's division, and half of the hottest feud they've ever had (and, I'd argue, one of the top 3 hottest feuds in AEW's entire history). Now she's in the developmental territory and possibly getting her name changed? Honestly seems like an insult to her and to women's wrestling in general.
Not to mention that most people have no idea what's in their 401k. They just stick it into a mutual fund or agree to the company advisor or something and let it go.
If you really want to do something that will encourage change, stop thinking about jailing the worker with the 401k and start thinking about jailing the board and the C-suite.
I could easily see Truth slotting into a player/coach role in AEW. He has a wealth of experience he can pass on to younger talent, and seems well-respected enough that people would listen to him. And hey, stranger things have happened. Like Jeff Jarrett's current run.
You couldn't be more wrong. Drag is often about getting in touch with one's feminine side, and many trans and nonbinary folks use drag as a vehicle to explore their identities. It's very much an expression of an authentic self as much as it is entertainment.
Also, drag kings are very much a thing, exploring masculinity from a feminine starting point.
That's the point. That shouldn't have happened, and this case is way too high profile for it to have happened organically. If nobody checked on him, there has to have been a reason for it.
I suppose, but that was a creative choice. They could have just had them talk. Especially if they could pull off a guttural growl or something that would fit the character.
Or just put them with Julia and let her do the talking. Julia having a pet monster would fucking rule.
They really could have been so much more for AEW. Imagine them teaming with Skye Blue or Julia Hart for the women's tag titles that are likely coming up soon.
