  • The Kremlin is extremely effective at convincing the Russian people to dismiss opposition figures who have fled the country to avoid being killed by Putin as "foreign agents". Navalny chose his own death over the death of his political movement. I hope history rewards him for it.

  • And Sinclair, of course, has their own article on this which includes relevant details like:

Soros’s investment represents approximately one-sixteenth of his $6.7 billion net worth, which he has leveraged to donate to liberal policy initiatives and advocacy organizations. The financier used his Open Society Foundations to funnel at least $140 million to political justice and ballot causes in 2021.

and several completely relevant paragraphs on Vice Media to set up the totally necessary last line shamelessly suggesting that this wealthy, liberal Jew is corrupting our country with smut:

Last year, Soros bought Vice Media in a $350 million deal to progress the company’s proclaimed “uniquely differentiated” content highlighting edgy stories. Vice’s former CEO, Shane Smith, allegedly instituted a culture plagued by sexual harassment.

Subsequent company leaders claimed the financier would improve Vice’s substance.

“With the support of our investor group, we now have the resources to strengthen our business, our partnerships and our content creation across all platforms,” then co-CEOs Bruce Dixon and Hozefa Lokhandwala told Variety. “Under new ownership and with this leadership team, Vice is positioned to drive our uniquely differentiated brand of news, entertainment and lifestyle content that makes Vice a trusted brand for global audiences."

Vice has sections on the gender spectrum, drugs and sex with articles informing readers of risqué topics. The outlet has also highlighted illegal drug cafes and MDMA-using doctors.

  • Okay, good. So just the GOP trying to drum up a super scary distraction from their opposition to doing anything about the border or supporting America's allies. I'm sure this is just as scary as that 'East Coast destroying nuclear torpedo' of theirs.

  • That makes no sense. The laws in question require willfulness. So if you can't say there was willfulness, you can't say the laws were broken.

For instance, assault with a deadly requires willfulness, so if a baseball bat slips out of a baseball player's hands and clobbers someone in the stands you wouldn't say the player broke the law but lacked willfulness, you'd just say they didn't break the law.

  • Johnson, a first-term mayor, campaigned on a promise to end the use of ShotSpotter, putting him at odds with police leaders who have praised the system.

They argue that crime rates – not residents’ race – determine where the technology is deployed.

And due to decades of racist policing focusing on communities based on residents' race those crime rates are based on exactly that.

This is why police forces love AI; they can feed the systems data based on their own history racist policing and absolve themselves of responsibility when the garbage coming out matches the garbage going in.

  • It's just a blatant hit piece against the Democratic candidate days before an election in a shameless attempt to suppress left wing turnout and try to help the Republican candidate win. They did spend an entire sentence glossing over the existence of the Republican in the race, though:

His opponent, Republican candidate Mazi Pilip, also has pro-Israel credentials: She served in the Israel Defense Forces.

Yes, that's right; the Republican candidate was an actual fucking IDF paratrooper. And the Intercept wanted her to win because of delusional fantasies of an anti-Israel progressive winning the Democratic primary in June and then going on to win the general against (the now incumbent) pro-Israel Republican moderate in a moderate, pro-Israel district; fantasies that could not come true if the Democrat was incumbent.

  • The nomination approval process, where white people and men sailed through while non-white women where put through the wringer with some of them not even making it, also delivered that message.

  • Tether printed at least five billion USDT out of thin fucking air in January. There's no liquidity in the system, advertising like this is intended to trick you into being that exit liquidity. If you have currency you can actually use to purchase goods and services please don't give it to some crypto scammer for internet magic beans.

  • three Russian sources with knowledge of the discussions told Reuters.
    ...
A U.S. source denied there had been any official contact and said Washington would not engage in talks that did not involve Ukraine.

So this is just complete bullshit intended to undermine Ukraine's sovereignty by falsely suggesting the US is negotiating for them.
