Russia is not going to overrun Ukraine. Worst case scenario is that Trump will win elections, stop any aid and Ukraine will be forced to sign a peace deal putting it in similar situation as before the war (no EU, no NATO and some territory lost).
Better scenario is that Trump loses and Putin, seeing his best chance at getting advantage is gone, will sing a peace treaty ending the war. He will soon win re-election and he just murdered Navalny. His position is safe enough to give up on Ukraine.
Best case Ukraine will not sign any treaty and regains all it's territory and Crimea. The war formally continues but Ukraine joins NATO ending any actual fighting.
Sorry to hear that. Where I live (Spain) everyone I know, even workers with no education and very basic jobs, go on holidays with their families at least once a year. The perspective here is that leisure (holidays, weekends at the beach, vacations) are a basic right and I think it should be viewed like this everywhere.
Also, as I explained in another commend the article talks about travel in the same category as dining out, not groceries.
So while vacation is a basic need it's obviously not as basic as food or rent (which the article doesn't claim).
War in Ukraine showed it's complicated. They may have equipment but how it's serviced? How competent the command is? From what I know Poland doesn't have any navy (as in they don't have any modern unit) but Ukraine also doesn't have it and is still controlling the Black Sea. They do have Patriots and F-16 so way better than what Ukraine had and Russia never really got air superiority in Ukraine. I would expect them to have good enough artillery and ammo stockpiles to stop any ground troops, same as Ukraine did. My guess is that if they are properly prepared the would easily defend themselves.
Or that he's governing anything.
The article doesn't really put travelling in the same category as groceries. It says "Younger Americans’ spending on things like travel and dining out has been outpacing their older peers’ even as the economy slows." They specifically put travel in 'luxury' category. Vacations can simply mean time off. Depending on your contract you can have limited paid days off and even vacations without travel can mean expense (unpaid leave).
Average credit card balances jump 10% to a record $6,360, and more consumers fall behind on payments
Maybe in your bank. Most banks don't offer any protection for debit cards. Credit card companies offer more protections and that's why people use them.

Insurance and fraud protection.
You will be shocked but absolutely everything in Catholicism is based on myth and "cool story bro" scenarios.
It's 55 m2 or a normal size apartment. Smallest apartment allowed in Europe (at least where I know such legal limits exist) is 25 ms.
Vacations are a basic need. When did someone convinced you that rest is some luxury for wealthy people?
Backmarket FTW
But you need 2024 phone to run it.
Eating less. When making dinner I wold make half of what I usually made, for lunch I would only have small things like a salad or soup, I stopped supplementing during/after training with gels and recovery drinks, cut out desserts. Went from 68kg to 63kg in couple of months.
Wow, I have no idea what copilot is and why would you want to hide the desktop. It used to be you had 'show desktop' button on the task bar. I guess I've been happily using Linux for too long.
Yes, I'm happy you're starting to understand. It's the same as with solar. It just shines on cars and they drive. You don't need to build anything like panels or hydrogen storage or pipes to move it. It's simply free energy. Like coal.
What's wrong with clevo rebrands?
Yeah, coal is also free. I just lays there in the ground. It doesn't cost any money to make it. Obviously you need infrastructure to mine it and burn it but other than that it's free. Right?
Florida Cop Empties His Gun, Runs For Cover After Acorn Falls On Car and Mistakes It For Shots Fired
Yet the example of the sim you posted (the exact type I had in mind) is from police training. This is exactly what I was talking about: police using military style training and using it in way that desensitizes officers.
I'm not saying the training is exactly the same as in military, I'm not saying it's as common. I'm saying that cops are trigger happy (as in the original article) because of this type of training. In many countries police are trained to shoot only as a last resort (or don't even carry guns). IDK, maybe it's different in US but most people have natural blockades preventing them from shooting others. That it's so easy for US cops to shoot at people for me means that they are trained to do it. All the effort that goes into this type of training should go into de-escalation training instead.

So in military you don't train by shooting at human shaped targets? You're not trained to shoot quickly at pop-up targets? You don't have hand-to-hand combat training? What do you think it's all for? Self control? BS.
Police does the same. They often run simulation after simulation in which they have to fire quickly at simulated people. It all serves the same purpose: remove the natural mental blockades people have that stop them from killing other people. Is desensitize them.
No need to get triggered. I'm not saying cops are trained as well as soldiers. Just that they often use the same techniques.
Flying cars will be the future but I wouldn't buy a flying car today.
Brain-computer interfaces will be the future but I wouldn't implant a chip in my brain today.
Personal AI assistants will be the future but I wouldn't pay $350 for ChatGPT today.
Lot's of things will be great in the future. Bringing it up in the context of existing, silly products is a bit pointless.
