We killed one CEO, which resulted in one change to their company.

They stopped automatically denying people anesthetic for surgeries because a CEO was shot.

It works, it was just proven that indiscriminate attacks against the wealthy result in them making concessions.

Now we just need to kill one CEO for every small improvement we want to see.

We have a lot of work ahead of us as a country

I just don't see how a social media site can be healthy/safe AND profitable.

If it has to make money it's going to sell user data and force narratives, and the entire argument that it has to make money allows human beings to shrug responsibility for exploiting their userbase.

Even before the collaps of our climate and society became apparent to me having kids didn't sit well with me considering the tens of thousands of kids in our child care system at any given moment.

Tens of thousands of lives that will be significantly worse, developing addictions and unhealthy coping mechanisms, unhealthy relationships, going straight from the group home to prison or the streets, all of it exists because people would rather selfishly continue their own genetic legacy instead of adopting a perfectly good kid that already exists and is suffering.

Maybe it's time we start restructuring our economy and society to not require everything to have a profit motive?

No social media site controlled by Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg is going to be a healthy experience. You will have much more varied content anywhere else.

He's just trying to give as much as possible to Ukraine before Trump pulls all support because that's why Russia helped Trump get elected.

Pretending like individual choices would do anything ignores the fact that these systemic issues can only be fixed with systemic changes

No amount of financial literacy will fix income inequality, we need to redistribute wealth if we want everyone to have the proportional wealth to participate in the economy.

If you understand that these systemic issues will only be solved by systemic changes then that's it.

Systemic issues can only be solved with systemic changes.

Blaming any individual for their outcome in a system that creates these issues distracts people from the cause of the issues, wealth inequality.

That's why choosing to obsess over individual choices is totally useless and literal propaganda keeping people from correctly focusing their frustrations
