It's the walmart-ification of social media. They're self sustaining because of their size, but that's not enough to make them an enjoyable experience. Just corporate, sterile, and lots of bored people.

The fediverse came just in time. I wouldn't have even heard about lemmy/kbin or mastodon if reddit hadn't shut down 3rd party apps.They seem like they're trying to bleed a stone.

Sometimes the best tech people are weird as hell. This might be one of those cases. Although I did hear that they censor content critical of china, which sucks.
