  • Alternatively, if someone wanted a specific kind of relationship, shouldn't they say so before sex? I don't assume anything about a relationship until we've known each other for long enough to discuss it.

I mean yeah, if someone tells me they want to get married some day and I fuck them anyway, that's a dick move. But again, assuming anything about someone's intentions without talking about it is just shitty communication.

  • Pro: Everywhere it's legal has seen a drastic reduction in the amount of violent drug-related crime, lower incarceration rates for non-violent offenders, and less abuse of prescription painkillers. Plus an incredible rise in quality when pot is regulated.

Con: Your straight edge friends who've never touched a joint in their lives start smoking regularly, since it's legal. Your 30+ year old friends will start talking like junior highschoolers who just smoked oregano for the first time and think they're high.

  • A guy in my art school made a piss sculpture. He collected it in jars every day and then arranged them like pixels on a rack. It was neat to see the colour variation, since he deliberately ate things to try to get more hues.

  • I did. Specifically this part:

Im not promoting their use. They are symbols of feelings that many of us are having right now. Just like the guillotine.

But we aren’t going around building guillotines. At present, Ive not seen any riots in the U.S nor use of either of these except on Nazi cars on dealership lots.>>

  • Some artists are voluntarily contributing to training models when they're paid for their content.

Other artists are training their own models individually or as collectives for specific purposes.

Using stolen work without compensation and attribution isn't okay, vandalise away, unless the work is meant to be artistic or social commentary in itself.

It may not be black and white.

  • Pissed that the rest of Canada won't build pipelines for them. Give them better access to refineries in other provinces. Clearly, leaving the country is the solution.

This is like moving out on your own because your roommates won't clean up after you, and make you pay your share of the bills.

  • If a company or person is open to feedback and change, they will already have policies or behavior to reflect that. People who want to improve are responsible for cultivating an environment where honest peer review is possible, because at the opposite end of the spectrum, fear of retribution will motivate people to quietly leave any situation.

  • We lost a lot of NDP to conservatives. Not sure if it was people "voting strategically" liberal to avoid a conservative win, or just a lot of lost faith in NDP. Probably both of those things and more.

It's a win, but it's a bitter one, when a party loses status because their supporters only flipped liberal to try to keep fascists out - and end up losing their representatives to conservatives.

We need either ranked choice or proportional representation because people shouldn't have to vote against their interests.

But fuck yeah PP lost in his riding. I hope he eats a big bag of dicks.

  • These are good recommendations.

A brief search didn't show me any controversy about smartvoting, which isn't to say it's not there.

I found it hard to find the information I wanted on 338, but I have friends who used it.

I agree with the sentiment, though, people should be using multiple sources and stay informed to vote strategically.
