Interesting. I didn't know the selective hearing has a name. This doesn't work for me, so I tend to give up on conversations after a while when I'm in loud environment. 🤷‍♂️

What advantage does it have compared to extended mode of ublock? I used NoScript years ago but switched to ublock to block scripts and resources.

I used storj.io for a while. Moved to Hetzner Storage boxes for my backup, because that's easier to configure with my restic setup.

About sleep: I noticed that I only get a measurable effect from melatonin with very high dosage of 4.5mg. But I slept really well the past 5 days which is a drastic change from the previous weeks.

I mostly use AI as advanced autocomplete. But even just using it for documentation is wrong so often that I do't use it for anything more complex than tutorial level.

I got pretty far with cursor.com when doing basic stuff that i have to spend more time looking up documentation than writing code, but I wouldn't trust it with complex usec cases at this point.

I check back every 6 months or so, to keep track of the progress. Maybe I can spent my days as a software developer drinking cocktails by the pool yelling prompts into the machine soon, but so far I am not concerned I'll be replaced anytime soon.

This assumes it is about output. 20 years of experience tell me it's not about output, but about profits and those can be increased without touching output at all. 🤷‍♂️

Foxhole. Looks like a silly little indie game, but boy there are huge scale mechanics and coop required. I'm kinda fascinated and want to play even more, not sure if work and life actually allows me to play a lot though.

yt-dlp works for the Mediatheken though, and news shows are probably a good source for learning german.

The various shows on ARD and ZDF are probably suited for beginners too.

I'm playing a sorcerer, mostly using lightning skills and wall of flame. I just reached L34 and need to up my resistances now. I'm not following any build, just searching for lightning damage, casting speed in the skill tree and trying things out.

Intellijs build in HTTP client is good enough for me to use it for my testing purposes and even for short one-off thing I previously might've done with curl.

First thing I do on every Firefox installation on every device. 3 clicks and most of this nonsense stops.

I'd appreciate Mozilla not doing something like that in the first place, maybe don't try to build products and focus on the browser. 🤷‍♂️

I already know about the practice to pinch of the main stem to make them grow more which if I understood correctly gives more to harvest. Is this similar?
