Last time I've tried gaming on Linux I had a bad time even connecting my controllers on it, it's plug and play on windows, do you think there has been any improvement on that regard?
Emulate it all! Emulation has come a long way, and it's constantly progressing. I'm sure there are older games that might be of your interest, personally I've been enjoying the Zelda games I never had the chance to play as a kid, it's really nice.
Sorry if it wasn't clear enough, I mean being able to load low resolution images on the feed (similar to how videos and gifs had SD and optional HD resolution on reddit's version), not disabling images entirely.
But in all seriousness, me and a friend of mine once saw a flying object that matches your description, except it was around 4am and we were on the beach, camping. At some point, it flew into the horizon (really freaking fast, headed to a different country, so I doubt it was a drone). No drugs were involved.
