  • Sadly I can’t find the inrush current on it, but I’m hoping it will be fine. If I burn one, I’ll look to build some sort of soft starter myself.
    This hobby has turned into a deep rabbit hole long ago anyways….

  • I'm gonna try to make my 745 last as long as possible and see what direction they move in going forwards.
    If more and more features will be locked behind the paywall, I'll be looking at other options the day mine dies.

    So, cool with new tech, but I'm not interested in the slightest in buying anything before we know what the future holds.

    N100 running all my containers including Jellyfin with NFS to the NAS and HAOS. It works beautifully. Never experienced as much as a hickup. 8W idle and <20 W under load.

    I know I’m late to the party, but if OP goes for a N100 NUC, he should repaste before starting. Factory used way to little and cheap paste.

  • I do it from home and do just fine.
    My «trick» was to only download complete seasons and movies larger than 14 GB to get loads of freeleech to build ratio and just keep seeding them.

    I’m at >10 ratio on TL and stopped caring about sizes as the pool of old files outseed anything new I download.

    But I get your point: seedboxes have made it a lot harder to do effortlessly from home
