@abff08f4813c@j4vcdedmiokf56h3ho4t62mlku.srv.us Well I'm technically an admin of my own instance, so if it could live on my own instance and report like a normal user and not use the "forward to original instance" that'd be just fine. I got blocked by Eugen Rochko for suggesting such a thing.🤦‍♂️

@abff08f4813c@j4vcdedmiokf56h3ho4t62mlku.srv.us I've been begging for something official that could just report it to me and nobody else. Like a personal automatic reporting system for posts that i might wanna check out based on keywords like regex.

Overall good experience. There's still some random crashes that I can't reproduce effectively enough to help you solve them.😬 They seem to happen sometimes when I open the details of a post but it's not often enough to ruin the experience for me. Overall very good app.

I do suggest you come up with some exclusive features for your premium model and don't return to locking posting behind it, that was what initially turned me off from the app but since then, I've enjoyed it overall.

@jimmyd2@fosstodon.org he seems to have removed that.

As far as I can tell, you can post freely now, though he might change it down the line...🤷‍♂️

Ivory also costs a fee, but it does have an overall more full featured product.

@parpol@programming.dev not much we can do when you know they were gonna take over the whole protocol.

I'm just a single person wanting to talk to people on those platforms. Defederating them wouldn't have stopped them from doing anything they're doing or plan on doing.

@lonelyowl13 @pixelworldai if it was normal art that takes hours or days to complete, I can see wanting to earn money from it, but yeah, AI art isn't really worth that unless you do a lot of editing to make a final product.

@TransitBiker@urbanists.social so, it's very vague, but it's basically a foundation that's supposed to be the official "decision makers" on AP, the protocol that runs the Fediverse.

The worrying thing, is that their board of advisors are big companies like Meta and Automattic, who both have massive financial incentives to change things for their benefit.

Well, immediately I noticed that once I got a notification, if I tried opening the notification tab on the bottom, the app crashes.

I can no longer open it.😬

@emaechler@mastodon.maechler.cloud that seems like it'll be normal going forward. A lot of newer apps use things in the new versions that have better optimization.🤷‍♂️😬

@evan@cosocial.ca I just hope there's no major financial influence from the major companies involved like Meta.

I don't want to lose control of my own site because I am not a programmer. I have a bit of control with Mastodon right now. However, there are some gripes everyone has had like lack of moderation features.

I worry a financial influence to change certain things will lessen my control and I'd have to find another software.

My worries always come from a place of passion and concern.

@TransitBiker@urbanists.social I'm still digging my heels into it right now. From the surface it seems very suspicious and financially motivated centralization of a decentralized platform, which is not good.

However, there may be some underlying bright side.

I'll have to get back to you with my full thoughts once I wrap my head around it all.

@tom@tomkahe.com maybe. However, I never hear that about AP. Only mastodon specifically and that's because mastodon not complying with most of AP standard...😳
