In case you're mad at yourself for closing your precious window with all the right tabs opened, note that Firefox allows to reopen recently closed windows

  • Ctrl+shift+S will do Firefox's screenshots. Windows key + shift + s is the windows snipping tool to take a screenshot of anything (aside from hdcp content like trying to screenshot a Netflix video that's copy protected).

  • Buy a few good reusable masks (that you can run through the washer) that have a metal strip inside to conform to your nose. Have the top of the mask up high on the bridge of your nose and push down on it so the metal strip conforms to your nose shape. Rest the plastic feet of your glasses on top of the metal strip, so that they're resting on the mask and not on your nose. That's what I figured out keeps my breath from escaping the top of the mask so it eliminates fogging.

  • The issue with the suicide wasn't at all Linus's fault and is just being thrown around sensationally to make him look as bad as possible.

    Linus's old workplace, NCIX (kind of like Canadian Circuit City) went out of business, and he went to the out of business auction to try and get the YouTube silver play button from the NCIX youtube channel that he had started. A young dude that has started his own youtube channel that got screwed out of his own silver play button won the auction, and he just wanted to have one since the marketing network his channel was a part of screwed up and he didn't get one from YouTube despite earning it. Linus approached him and asked to buy it back from him, and the guy agreed. But after Linus saw his YouTube channel and understood his situation, he decided to let the guy keep it since he was being cool about Linus paying him for it at cost of the winning bid, and not trying to extort anything from Linus.

    But his fans got upset anyway since they're bored teenagers, and started harassing the guy constantly to give the play button to Linus. When he found out, he told the community to stop-

    But of course they didn't, and eventually the guy stopped making videos. He was already depressed and bullied at school and his personal life, and according to the reddit post by his father, he took his own life a couple years later, and his mother ended up committing suicide as well because of it.

    I'm pretty angry about the whole situation and the allegations of harassment, but trying to pin a double suicide on a person that didn't cause it for article clicks and up votes is just sickening and unethical, IMO. Linus already has plenty to answer to, but piggybacking off of the recent controversy to try and pin an incredibly sad and serious situation on him that he didn't cause is a disgusting move by shitty media outlets.

    That article is just a desperate click bait attention grab that is skewing a tragic situation for page views because of all the other controversy. Linus has plenty to be ashamed of and to answer to, but trying to pin a suicide on him because of the current situation so you get clicks is just sick.

  • It's referring to cable packages. Oh you want to be able to watch FX shows? Then get the blue-tier package to add 30 random channels, 28 of which you don't want for another $30 on top of the base price! Oh you want AMC too? Then get the green tier for another $45 as well that also has 35 channels you don't want. Sorry, we don't have a package with both FX and AMC, you'll need to get the blue AND green packages on top of the $60 base subscription. Sorry, you can't just choose what channels you want.

    Circa 2011 it'd just be like Netflix and/or Hulu were all you need to get most of the content since they had deals with the different studios. Now they're all segmenting off onto their own.

  • Yeah the Shield Pro is amazing, even though the last update was 2019. And even with an earlier version of their AI upscaling, 1080p content looks great on 4k. Hopefully with the Switch's successor leaks swirling around it means that they'll do a 2024 update. Probably wishful thinking.
