  • don't wanna fight, but i do want some clarification:

were they actually warm blooded, or that pseudo warm blooded thing some reptiles and fish do where they aren't exactly warm ir cold blooded, but kinda in-between?

  • if I've followed the comment chain here correctly, the problem remains that you first need to compute all possible game states, which is probably impractical, right?

and you still need to save the data for computing the numbers' compressed version, or is there a way to compress the numbers on-the-fly that i haven't heard of?

  • actually good point on your part too, cause i should have mentioned that as well:

    shareholders can also be stakeholders!

    totally not confusing or anything...

i really hate basically all the language around finance...

  • fyi, in case someone isn't clear on the difference:

    stakeholder ≠ shareholder

stakeholders are basically all people involved, including staff, and even stuff like landlords, janitors, citizens (sometimes things like parents), etc.

it's anyone with a stake in an organizations operations!

example: a city decides to create a new bus route. in this case, stakeholders include the local residents, the companies involved in creating the route, the companies supplying the buses, the mechanics needed to keep the fleet running, etc., etc.

there's a usually a LOT of stakeholders, and typically you don't always include everyone in every little decision because it quickly becomes unmanageable. so only the most relevant ones are included in most decisions, and who exactly that is depends on the project.

shareholders on the other hand are what everyone is probably thinking of, and that's the people ("people" being used generously here) only interested in next quarters profits. you know! the parasites!

of course the message is still bullshit and nothing but coded corpo-speech for "shareholders", but i thought some folks might be interested in knowing the difference anyhow.

even if, in this case, it's only important to highlight the extra special bullshit they put into the statement...

  • the downvotes are because it's borderline misinformation:

whether a game comes with DRM or not has nothing to do with steam, and everything to do with the publisher.

plenty of games on steam are completely DRM free!

(...but the majority does have DRM, which, again, is on the publisher, not steam)

  • i mean...no, he doesn't.

his handlers know what they're doing!

trump has never been competent enough to be an effective nazi...which is why project 2025 was created in the first place:

    man-childs first dictatorship

now even easier with step-by-step instructions!

  • i have a privacy/security feature request:

lock screen prompt when trying to switch profiles.

currently all it takes to switch is two clicks, no identity verification.

so if you have a regular and a NSFW (or otherwise private) profile, and you give someone your phone to look at a post, it's easy to switch to a profile that should be gated behind a verification screen...

infinity has this feature, and it's really nice for peace of mind!

otherwise voyager has been excellent all around! thanks for putting the work in!

  • have you tried within the last year?

the 2.0 update completely revamped the skill and cyberware systems!

bulletsponges are also less of a thing now, and rarity levels and loot have been reworked as well.

there's now native cosmetic armor, so you can finally wear drip without compromising on armor stats and such without mods!

lots of other QoL and general improvements!

if you haven't played since the 2.0 update, i highly recommend giving it another shot!

it really feels like a very different game now, but with the same story and feel

(bulletsponges are less of a thing due to the skills rework, mostly; it's borderline impossible to have trash dmg output due to poor skill choices/combos now. basically all perk paths now improve damage fairly consistently, instead of having certain paths way more powerful than others. skills are also less often boring '+X" and more focused on giving immediate improvements/abilities. any weapon choice is perfectly viable now, without having to plan out some ridiculous, borderline PoE style build from level 1; you can now just pick whatever path you like!

...but enemies in the very beginning might feel slightly bulletspongy, although less than pre 2.0! that quickly disappears after the first few levels when you get your first major boosts from skills/cyberware!)

  • for sci-fi RPGs this is currently the best available, period.

there are other good, even great ones, but CP2077 takes top spot, and quite easily.

    "they lied already"

...and then spent 3 years delivering nothing but excellency, reworking major parts of the game, improving QoL features, listening to community feedback, adding many often-requested features, and being all around excellent devs.

but they didn't live up to expectations ONE TIME, so now they're bad forever.

seriously...get over yourself; you ARE missing out on a great experience!

if you're sceptical, which is, despite what i wrote above, fair, wait for a major discount (easter is next on steam, i think) and get it at like -70% off.

try it out for less than 2h (that's the cutoff for a steam refund), and see if you like it.

but don't do this dogmatic "if things are bad once they are forever bad" thing. it keeps you from seeing how things evolve over time, and specifically keeps you from seeing improvement over time.

  • for additional context:

the anti-jewish sentiment in europe goes back to the early middle-ages, and only fell out of fashion (mostly, until recently) after the holocaust and the de-nazification programs in austria/germany.

same goes for anti-roma/sinti racism and anti-black racism; very old concepts, always convenient tragets for the far-right, since the sentiments are difficult to completely eradicate and easily spread by mass media.

  • how they plan on collecting fines is pretty simple: the same way they have done for the past 20-ish years.

google already pays fines in the hundreds of millions annually in the EU due to compliance issues.

they can't NOT pay, because then they would be opening themselves up to punity actions.

if they continue to pay, they continue to operate, if they stop paying, because they mistakenly believe trump can save them, they will be treated like any other criminal organization and have their operations shut down, their assets seized, and the ones responsible facing criminal charges.

the thing about the bank accounts gets...complicated, but can be boiled down to "whatever is there, will get seized by the bank". and "withdrawing the cash" isn't really a thing they can do just like that. monetary assets in the EU for mega-corps is mostly in the form of bank agreements (i.e. debt), which is basically just contracts. so the corpos would lose out on the banking institutions on top everything else.
