Server Rules

Every Minecraft Server has some rules, this server is no exception!

The Rules build upon the official Lemmy.world rules.

Additionally Minecraft Rules:

PVP related:

PVP is enabled BUT should be the last resort.
PVP has to be with mutual consent!
Spawn Camping is not allowed!
Trapping People is NOT allowed!
If you fight, keep others out of it. ( Dont kill inocent people )
If you want war. It has to be with mutual consent.

Building related:

Griefing is not allowed.
But if you build anything unprotected its your issue, not ours.
( You can claim spots it with a wooden hoe )
Trapping claims/users is not allowed.
Abusing the claim system will result in a ban
If you dont use your claimed spots it will get force abandoned by admins.

Other:

Trading is not secured in any way. Create yourself a trading station or just "trust" each other.

Summarized:

Be friendly, dont attack without a consent, dont grief

- Just like real life. Cant even abuse someone jeez.

I've only just started playing on servers, so didn't know about the claim system. I found this video explainer very helpful and clear. Thought I'd post it here for others like me....

How do you get on the server? Its asking for server name address and port

what clientside mods if any are allowed eg. gammabright
what is the server policy on semi automatic farms? eg. max size, building requirements like shut off switch, max tile entities etc.
- If it doesnt make others unhappy you can use it, we have still counter measures against cheats.
  It shouldnt be the 10th duplicate of the same farm, shut off switch would be great. Dont make it near a big junction.

~~So it seems basically the same as the SDF Minecraft server, just with the addition of the claim system (SDF doesn't use claims).~~
Edit months later: They're very much not the same. SDF MC is a very different environment and culture. I tend to prefer the laid back nature of SDF to this one, doesn't mean I won't ever play on Lemmy.world MC at all, I'm just on SDF more often.

What difficulty is it set to? i would like to request hard so that villager zombification works it will also reduce lag as it makes farms more efficient. Also is chat reporting enforced cos i dont like the idea that my chat can be sent to microsoft u can disable forcing it and client side mods will handle the rest otehrwiss u can add the no chat reports mod/plugin.
- Normal we will probably change to hard soon. Yeah enforcing is off.

So i dont see anything related to what client side mods are allowed. I aasume u havw some degree of anticheat but if my client can bypass that then am i fine to use it?
- If it does not make anyone unhappy then go for it. If your plan is to grief others we will ban u on mc and on the degree on lemmy too.
  
  Not planning on griefing, so that means flying speed jump auto totem fullbright printer etc are fine
