Wow, new record. What happened?
Short story: meatwave attacks
long story (from General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine):
Seems Russia is probing for soft spots in different areas, and in a few areas trying hard to press through.
The tactic mostly being to send troops in, and if they die, it was apparently well defended. Seems that's the Russian way to gather "intelligence" about the battlefield.
From this official Ukrainian report from Telegram, it sounds like Russia had no success. Words like repelled and nullified and restraining the enemy are used.
I’m curious too, wonder if this includes recent storm shadow etc strikes or if Russia is pushing as hard as they can before winter properly sets in.
Either way; slava Ukraine!
Heroiam slava!
they died
Yeah, that's nice (although those numbers not only include KIA). But why so many on this particular day?
It's been crazy for a while, and it didn't cool down after Trump won the election as some expected. Because most think Trump will help Putin.
But apparently Putin doesn't think so, so now the speculation is that Russia want to stand as strong as possible when Trump becomes president.
This particular day is probably mostly a matter of Russian logistics.
