It doesn't really seem like he's actually ruined all that many lives. None of the pedophilia or sexual abuse accusations seem to be true afaict (Republicans made up a lot of stuff about what was on that laptop). The prostitution scandal seems to just him paying prostitutes with stolen money, not about harming people. His previous partners also seem to mostly describe parting "amicably". In terms of corruption, that money probably would be gone anyway. It's kind of hard to quantify the harm he did in Ukraine. His own life really seems to be the only one "ruined".

He had sex with some of his employees, which is bad, but I'm not sure it's "life ruining". The power dynamic means they can't really consent, but also nobody has brought any charges against him related to that. The prostitutes across state lines thing is illegal (and technically trafficking), but also they were already prostitutes and they went across state lines voluntarily (and no charges were filed).

Endangering other people, that might hold more weight. There's that other comment about him speeding while smoking crack, and there might well be more stuff, but still.

Also I've always felt like conservatives are almost holding water for Hunter. They focus entirely on his laptop and suggestions that Hunter was part of a Satanic pedophile murder orgy. The reality is much more boring. Hunter's just some rich idiot from an influencial family. His dad is famous and powerful. So that creates the type of person who Hunter is, someone who will indulge in excesses and never face real consequences until this exact moment.

He smokes crack and frequents prostitutes. He got a bunch of jobs he wasn't qualified for. Nepotism can't be the answer, instead it's a weird shock thing for conservatives about pictures of his dick or vague suggestions about murdering kids or whatever.

Don't tell me Biden just does it for the love of the game.

Academically, he was incredibly dumb. He's not nearly as rich as any of his contemporaries that have served for decades, he needed a loan from Obama to pay for his son's medical bills; the obvious implication being, he doesn't accept 'lobbying' the way his colleagues do. He's constantly talking about unity and was always reaching across the isle...

I think he may actually believe in all the garbage he preaches, while being clinically unaware of how stupid he is for it.

That's why I said I know pointing out hypocrisy doesn't matter but on the same side of the coin them believing it's the dems who are being hypocritical also doesn't really matter. They're wrong (in this one specific instance, not saying libs aren't hypocrites) and objective reality is still a thing.

The whole "yea well chuds think it's hypocritical" is why pointing it out doesn't matter in the firstbplace but we shouldn't cede the fact they are wrong, full of shit, and they're the ones being hypocrites.

We should all understand shameless hypocrisy is the cornerstone of their entire worldview but we shouldn't act like that makes their beliefs any less horrendous.

There is a certain irony to the fact that probablly 80% of the people cheering for this committed literally the exact same crime by lying on the exact same form but still believe they are totally justified while Hunter got what he deserved.

I unironically want that really bad. I think I read that the government seized the album though.

I mean while pedo crimes were far fetched, the laptop definitely had evidence of potential sex crimes, which led to Hunter Biden's Pornhub account being discovered(where he allegedly posted videos of himself and others, allegedly including another female family member) , and subsequently wiped off of the internet. It's where all the weird jokes about his penis come from.

I found it very weird how all evidence was wiped off of the internet (only extreme right wing chud sites have the evidence still posted), and how you get treated like a crank if you bring it up now. Definitely lots of suspicious stuff went down there.
