If it read “man from Queens” then it would be technically correct, but still misleading. He changed his residence in 2019. He’s a Florida man now.
Hardly, the colloquialism holds. This is a common usage.
Semantically, sure, but what about clarity? How often is Elon Musk referred to as “South African man?”
