Reluctant upvote because it's New Zealand but my dude/dudette, what's with all the hashtags?
I'm assuming a federated post from Mastodon
- Yes, this is a mastodon post where they have tagged the !newzealand community. It's how they display in Lemmy. I'd like to think over time the integration could be refined so it didn't show so... messy.

  To be fair it looks the same, but the expectations are different on Mastodon. Lemmy doesn't use tags like Mastodon does.
  
  Yeah I figured that was the case.
  It's an interesting thing about federation between platforms - everything gets federated, even the platform-specific stuff that may be irrelevant elsewhere
Now we need a geologist to name these rocks properly.
