I wouldn't mind trying, but I was looking at the steps do get it working and that seems like such a drag...
These are the summarized steps:

Use a passwordless (for easiness, if you are concerned about security you can implement a blacklist I guess, or if you have an old WEP capable device you are "good to go" but really WEP keys are just as insecure as no password nowadays lol) hotspot from your smartphone or desired device and join such a network with a WFC cartridge such as MPH.

Edit your recently added network and input these DNS in the settings:
Primary DNS: 167.86.108.126 Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0 (or 1.1.1.1 I think it doesn't matter).

Really is that easy, Wiimmfi already patches the games on the go, you can even do this with original cartridges.

Well, my phone providers are both shit so I don't imagine it working well. But yea I guess I can try. Do you have matrix or something?
Btw the other day someone told me of a discord where people gather to play this. I've not kept it, but it should be in comments under one of my reviews here or at patient gamers.
