Petition to allow local announcers to call playoff games
Petitions are annoying, but I'm hoping some of us will want to sign this one! The goal is simple: Have the National Hockey League create a solution where the local broadcast announcers of the home team handle the broadcast for every nationally-televised game, such as the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Normally, when we have a national crew come into Seattle to broadcast a game, I'll just sync the video stream with our radio broadcasters. The national guys are so bad.
let me summarize the ESPN experience:
"Connor McDavid, Connor McDavid! McDavid? Connor. Connor Mc? David Connor."
Doesnt even matter if he is playing in the game they are showing.
Joe Buck: " Let me shit on the local team I'm broadcasting for while jerking off the away team".
How do you do that sync? I've tried in the past for different sports and never been able to line it up.
We have a 5-7 second delay for video so I just pause the video until it syncs with radio. Nothing technical and a bummer it has to he done that way.
Lol fucking change.org... there's a bigger chance getting something done about it by writing an article in the local high school paper.

When the Jets came back to Winnipeg and had their first playoff series, the announcers were all but sucking Corey Perry's dick all series long. It was such a turn off for the playoff experience. I actually cheered when Byfuglien punched him on the back of the head after a goal, but can see now that it was a pretty big dick move.
Anyway... yeah I like this petition.
Punching Perry should be normalized. If the Kings ever picked him up I would boycott the season. I will never cheer a team he plays for.
That's how I feel about Brad Marchand. Fans often say, "He's the kind of guy you hate but you'd love him on your team," but fuck that noise. I'd be embarrassed to have that floppy, chick-shit rat on my team. Maybe less embarrassing than only winning one playoff series in 20 years... but embarrassing nonetheless!
Maybe they could simulcast it.
