My local university had their own Palestine encampment, but after less than 24 hours it was already broken up by the cops in the middle of the night with excessive cop violence. I'm so fucking mad
In a messed up way I find it funny that there is a very real possibility that the US will invade The Netherlands if Netanyahu gets to The Hague. All this talk about Russia being a threat only to get invaded by the US.
Went to the university encampment yesterday, and holy shit it gives me so much hope. It was so well organized and everything was so well communicated. Makes me think a revolution is not so farfetched here as I though.
There was another demonstration today. We walked from the campus, where there was a ton of riot police already, to Spui square. There we were met by police violence. Riot police with their armored cars and police dogs. But we managed to deescalate by sitting down. I feel like we are getting calmer in front of a police presence. After a while we dispersed away from where the police was standing, but some people stayed on the square.
We have arrived at the stage of the year in which it is either too cold for a t shirt or too hot for a sweater, combined with lethal humidity (rain), causing a constant state of discomfort and sweat.
For several days now I have been making instagram comments in various left wing related pages that have gotten thousands of likes in total now. I managed to get lots of following requests and now I am contemplating becoming a left wing Instagram influencer.
I finally broke down today about Palestine. I was angry already, especially since october 7th. But after what happened yesterday and after watching a video about october 7th and the fake crimes Israel accused Palestine of, I finally cried. Specifically after pictures were shown in the video of Palestinians who have been killed. I can't stop crying.
What is wrong with football fans? It seems that lately the vast majority tend to be immensely reactionary and racist. Isn't this supposed to be the peoples sport?
Yeah, a shame they immediately removed and banned this person, this was probably just an idiot child. It's not like their one sentence is going to destroy Stalin's legacy.
I would have been happy to explain the other flaws in the historical works of Simon Sebag Montefiore.
To put it simply, he is a pro-Romanov British man who was in Jeffrey Epstein's contact book.
But the "Siberian comedy" treats the alleged victim like a punchline without providing any evidence. He clearly finds it funny.
I was at the protest in front of the city council, and it was peaceful. We were chanting, singing and dancing to Palestinian songs. There were also people speeching. Goes to show you how peaceful protests are when riot police aren't there. But there was still a police presence and there was a drone flying above us
I want to distance myself as far as I can from Discord where possible. I found a plug-in for Pidgin that lets me chat over Discord but that doesn’t really get at the core of the issue really, aside from saving me the headache of using an electron app. Is the Lemmygrad instance active?
I was supposed to go clubbing tonoght with friends, but canceled at the last minute because of my mental and physical health. Like literally last minute, canceling while they are already on the way to the club. I feel bad.
Elections are coming up and we're supposed to get some extra seats in the governments. I think it's cool that we have actual workers on our list. As in, cleaning ladies, factory workers, things like that. I'm curious to see how they will do in Parliament.
In his book, Heifetz wrote about pogroms like the one at Proskurov. He also described harrowing personal testimony from survivors of the violence, who spoke of ransacked homes, family members hacked to pieces before their eyes, and friends and neighbors falsely accused of spying for the Bolsheviks, cruelly tortured, and murdered. These gruesome stories stirred Jewish memories of the devastation wrought by the Khmelnytsky uprising centuries earlier.
Contemplating registering to join our party's trip to Cuba in 2025 or 2026. Seems like an amazing experience. Only thing is that it will cost probably 2500 euro lol.
