has no clue how carbon and triple plated clutch works,
and appreciate the fact that super cars have terrible turning radius....
probably doesn't know shit about cars making a stupid dumb statement like that. there are so many modern analog cars that have not only more soul, but outperform any older cars by every single metric in terms of reliability, engineering, safety, comfort etc. Case in point : LFA, Pagani Zonda, 911 GT3 RS, Nissan GTR and MANY MANY more.
you're phrasing it as if it's common knowledge and everybody should know some shitty local race from the other side of the pond.
you could probably tell judging by the tone he's probably one of those insufferable boomer right? and you know i'm right, how can anyone claim that 1960s cars are better than what car manufacturers have put out in the past 20-30 years? If he's talking from the point of nostalgia it's OK, we all love classic cars. But to dismiss modern cars because apparently people that built them died is just stupid.
i'm not the binary guy here. i love all cars hey? I do believe an old ass Honda Fit modded in the garage gives you more satisfaction than owning a supercar. there i said it.
bro can't even spell LeMans, and has no clue how carbon and triple plated clutch works, and the fact that super cars have terrible turning circle, but is somehow critiquing about how modern cars suck?
You've really never heard of LeMons? If he races in LeMons then he's probably also a decent mechanic and probably knows a lot more about cars than you do. Just sayin...
also, a decent mechanic would have known that a supercar equipped with a manual will most likely come with heavy duty clutches that are a fucking bitch to drive at low speed.
I don’t get it – why are so many here sooo defensive about a rich toy thing you’ll never own? And if you do own one, so what? Sheesh it’s just metal, not your identity.
Did you just try to make 2 assumptions and hopefully 1 of them applies to me, and then make a projection assuming that one of the assumption is correct....? wat?
too bad, the answer is neither, i'm JDM all the way, they're not supercars, they're easy to drive when you don't put in a carbon clutch lol...
let's keep this civil and save the ad-hominem insults, and discuss this like an adult. are we all capable of being an adult? i hope so?
…and the nitwits who buy them ought to know how to drive them, no?
Yea, but a non-car enthusiast that does not know how to drive a manual will likely not purchase a manual supercar.
The clutch are designed like that. Cars with heavy duty clutches inherently struggle at low speeds, that combined with super light flywheel.
You should watch Jay Leno or Harry's Garage, they review older supercars from time to time. they don't look like they're nice to handle around town either. Jeremy Clarkson has a video about the Countach too, you should watch it. I hope you would come to the conclusion that supercars are not exactly the nicest cars to drive..
I note that you run some kind of a blog with old automobiles. i suggest that you keep your mind open, be open to ideas and listen to what other people have to say and not bash other people for the sake of bashing it. You would think we left this kind of mentality at Reddit but here we are. I wish you all the best and hope you drop this immature mentality. You're old, you know what to do. Make the world a better place and not make it worse.
