There’s no such thing as an “outside agitator”

Oh, yeah, 100%. This is and always has been a way of saying, pardon the french, "our [slurs] are good [slurs] and all these [slurs] causing problems are being riled up by commies judeobolsheviks carpetbaggers "outside agitators"

Like afaik this shit literally goes back to reconstruction as a way of denying that problems and tension and actual literal uprisings are happening and that local people are in fact rising up against injustice. It's never our [facist noises] they're well behaved someone must be riling them up.

If this all sounds super racist it 100% and i don't even know how to make it sound less racist because it's entirely infantilizing minorities and denying their agency and just patronizing fucked up shit and that little ratshit fucking mayor in mpls pulled this in '20 and i am in no way chill about it.

Back when a friend was arrested at Occupy in 2012, they used his ID address to label him an "outside agitator" because it was from a neighboring city compared to where he was arrested

Good statement though, I like how they point out the police cracking down aren't from Emory, so they are really the 'outside agitators'

I thought outside agitators were people who always tell others to touch grass.
