Heads up, Canadians: If your landlord is a non-resident and doesn't pay their taxes, you might have to pay their back taxes instead! Isn't that cool?

Yeah holy shit the whole argument is that the government can't force non-resident landowners to pay their taxes (fair enough). But rather than do the reasonable thing like seize assets until the tax debt is settled, they decide to charge the tenants to pay the taxes.
