They’ve realized nothing. Have you opened Edge lately? A gazillion new privacy-invading features that could be relegated to web plugins. Bloat bloat bloat.
Most of that is default in Edge due to Chromium?

And you have to go to a flag or about special settings page to disable them. They know it's toxic but profitable
