Automata is a cyberpunk movie where Antonio Banderas plays an insurance agent for a robotics company
I've been hesitant to recommend this movie because while the first half is all-in on the cyberpunk visuals, the second half of the movie takes place in the desert/wasteland. But, the theme of "what does it mean to be human" is prevalent throughout the entire movie so I'd say the story remains cyberpunk even when the visuals aren't.
Oh man, I forgot about this one! I remember really enjoying it, and kind of being consistently surprised at the quality of the visuals in what I'd thought was a kind of low budget film. I'll admit I'm bad at recognizing actors and now I'm wondering if this was more expensive to make than I'd thought.
