I used to have a dog that would yawn with a little whine whenever she was frustrated. It was adorable.

3 0 ReplyIt wasn't silent, that's part of what made it so cute. She whined while yawning.
4 1 ReplyYeah mine does it too, but the scream is so quiet compared to how wide his mouth is... It looks like he should be screaming a lot louder but it's just this little squeak

That's pretty common among cats and dogs. Sometimes the clever ones will hide a bite they decided against at the last second with a yawn, too.
