We've had an influx of certain users posting pictures of dead bodies and pushing a political agenda. That is absolutely NOT okay. This is not the community for that kind of content and will result in an immediate ban.
That's so fucked man. Sorry you had to deal with that, I've learned that there are things, that once your read or see, you can never unsee. And they can haunt you for days, weeks, or years.
I'd consider this community to be full of nice and beautiful pictures, and I fully agree with the decisions of the mod team.
I haven't seen any of these pictures, but I assume it has to do with the current happenings in the Middle East. For that, there are a lot of other communities to post to, which allow such content. So, if you want to keep up in that topic, do it there, not here.
Let's face it! It's heartbreaking! But I, like many others, don't need a burst of heartbreaking content 24/7. It's just not good for our health. So please respect that too.
I messaged a user who kept posting dead bodies and their response was:
"I'm sorry" to say it but there's likely going to be a whole lot more of this posts very soon as famine is reaching critical levels in Gaza, so you might want to consider staying off the internet. Because I'm going to raise as much hell as possible about it.
Dude wouldn't even use the NSFW tag, and is only here to ignore rules and cause problems.
Appreciate the work. There's a desire to spread awareness but there is a place. There is a demand for trigger warnings in today's society and that stems from a desire to avoid topics. Dead bodies in particular shouldn't need a trigger warnings because it's clearly a trigger. That is the goal of posting it. Just because you think the message is important doesn't give you any further rights.
Wouldn't obvious triggers be the prime use for a trigger warning? I don't think you understand what you're talking about. IDK what the original posts are that caused this so I can't judge them, but requiring people to use a CW when taking about Palestine seems reasonable
Sorry if it was confusing. I meant that you wouldn't use a trigger warnings because it is beyond that. It's literally presented to trigger. A warning that it could trigger is almost useless because it's only purpose is to trigger.
