I agree with this. There should be an "uncommitted" option on the ballot for all national elections, and if it gets the most votes then the election has to be held again with new candidates.
- As long as people subscribe to the philosophy of lesser evilism, voting "uncommitted" isn't going to make much of a difference as the masses will vote out of fear.
  Luckily people are starting to see through the bullshit.
the constitution says legally binding that in that case the government must dissolve and we all must try anarchism for a while.

Like the North Korean system of picking a new guy to run if the previous guy didn't get enough votes (imagine if not voting was a vote for "Uncommitted"!).

It's not about winning. It's about sending a messaage...or at least a message that doesn't entail

I read a sci fi novel where politicians got executed if their proposed legislation didn't get passed. They also got merced if they didn't propose legislation
- That's a bit too rough... they should be sent to town-style gulags, where they can live normal lives, (eg. labor and self-educate) and atone for their sins in the extreme blistering heat or the crunching snow....
